Coastal Carolina adds nine games to future football schedules

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have added nine games to their future football schedules, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Copies of contracts for the games were obtained by FBSchedules.com from Coastal Carolina University via a state Freedom of Information Act request.

According to a memo of agreement, Coastal Carolina has scheduled a four-game, home-and-home series with Army West Point. The games are set for 2022 and 2026 in Conway, South Carolina and 2023 and 2027 in West Point, New York.

Coastal Carolina has also scheduled a home-and-home series with the Buffalo Bulls. Coastal Carolina will visit Buffalo in 2021 and will host the Bulls in 2022.

The Chanticleers, who begin Sun Belt Conference play this season, have also added future games against Campbell, Charleston Southern, and The Citadel.

Listed below are the dates for each future game added by Coastal Carolina:

Campbell
Sept. 5, 2018 – Campbell at Coastal Carolina

CCU will pay Campbell a $300,000 guarantee.

Charleston Southern
2019 (date TBA) – Charleston Southern at Coastal Carolina

CCU will pay CSU a $100,00 guarantee.

The Citadel
Sept. 4, 2021 – The Citadel at Coastal Carolina

CCU will pay The Citadel a $315,000 guarantee.

Buffalo
Sept. 18, 2021 – Coastal Carolina at Buffalo
Sept. 17, 2022 – Buffalo at Coastal Carolina

Coastal Carolina and Buffalo will exchange $150,000 guarantees.

Army West Point
Sept. 3, 2022 – Army at Coastal Carolina
Nov. 18, 2023 – Coastal Carolina at Army
Oct. 17, 2026 – Army at Coastal Carolina
Oct. 23, 2027 – Coastal Carolina at Army

Coastal Carolina and Army will exchange $200,000 guarantees for each game. Also, this series has been formally agreed to but is pending a final contract.

Football Schedules
