College football schedule 2017: Week 1 breakdown, picks, and more

The college football schedule for Week 1 of the 2017 season is in full swing Saturday afternoon with 60 games.

Seven games kicked off the day at noon Eastern, including Maryland at (23) Texas and Kent State at (5) Clemson.

Featured games in the 3:30pm ET slot include NC State vs. South Carolina (in Charlotte, NC) and (11) Michigan vs. (17) Florida (in Arlington, TX).

The biggest game of the day is without question the first of two Chick-fil-A Kickoff games. At 8:00pm ET, the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide take on the 3rd-ranked Florida State Seminoles. The second CFA game is Georgia Tech vs. Tennessee on Labor Day evening.
