College football rankings for week 9 have been released, and  the Notre Dame Fighting Irish made the biggest jump in both polls.

Notre Dame, which dominated USC at home 49-14, jumped four spots in the AP Poll to No. 9 and six spots in the Coaches Poll to No. 10.

Alabama defeated Tennessee 45-7 and remained in first, while Penn State stayed at second after drubbing Michigan 42-13. Georgia was off this past weekend and remained in third.

Michigan loss to Mich St and Penn St. Michigan isn’t ranked in AP poll. But LSU who lost to Troy is ranked???

Yes, LSU just won their last three games, at #11 Florida, then beat #10 Auburn & now just won at Ole Miss. Michigan has just dropped their 2nd out of 3 games. Don’t worry, in 2 weeks when LSU plays Bama, LSU will no longer be ranked.
