College Football Playoff: 2018 semifinal pairings set

The College Football Playoff 2018 semifinal pairings have been announced. Clemson, the top-ranked team, will play No. 4 Alabama in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Oklahoma, the No. 2 team, will play No. 3 Georgia in the Rose Bowl Game. Both semifinal games will be played on New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2018.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the four remaining bowls in the “New Year’s Six” around 2:30pm ET. Those bowls are as follows: Capital One Orange Bowl, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, and Playstation Fiesta Bowl.

The remaining bowls will be announced throughout the day and finalized by Sunday evening.

Rose Bowl Game
Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 – 5pm ET, ESPN
(3) Georgia vs. (2) Oklahoma

Allstate Sugar Bowl
Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 – 8:45pm ET, ESPN
(1) Clemson vs. (4) Alabama

National Championship Game
Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 – 8pm ET, ESPN
Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Atlanta, GA
