The Oregon State Beavers have added the Portland State Vikings to their 2020 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Oregon State will host Portland State at Reser Stadium in Corvallis on Sept. 19, 2020. The Beavers will pay the Vikings a $400,000 guarantee, according to a copy of the contract obtained from Oregon State University via a public records request.

Portland State is a member of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Vikings finished the 2017 campaign winless at 0-11.

Oregon State and Portland State have met five times on the gridiron. The Beavers defeated the Vikings 35-32 to open the 2017 season and now lead the overall series 5-0.

Oregon State was previously scheduled to play San Jose State on Sept. 19, 2020, but it appears that a contract for that game was never fully executed.

Additionally, San Jose State recently released a slate of future non-conference opponents and Oregon State was not listed.

The addition of Portland State tentatively completes Oregon State’s non-conference schedule in 2020. Other games for the Beavers that season include at Oklahoma State on Sept. 5 and home vs. Colorado State on Sept. 12.
