The Texas State Bobcats will host the Nicholls Colonels in 2019 and the Houston Baptist Huskies in 2022, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Copies of both game contracts were obtained from Texas State University via a Texas Public Information Act request.

Texas State will host Nicholls at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos on Sept. 28, 2019. The Bobcats will pay the Colonels a $250,000 guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract.

Nicholls is a member of the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision. Nicholls currently leads the series over Texas State 16-14, which is dubbed the “Battle for the Paddle.”

The Houston Baptist Huskies will make the trip to face Texas State at Bobcat Stadium on Sept. 24, 2022. The Huskies will receive a $300,000 guarantee for the contest, per the contract.

Houston Baptist is also a member of the Southland Conference in the FCS. The faced Texas State for the first time ever in 2017, falling 20-11 in San Marcos.
