The Central Michigan Chippewas have added the Bryant Bulldogs to their 2020 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.

Central Michigan will host Bryant University at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant on Sept. 26, 2020. CMU will pay Bryant a $325,000 guarantee for playing the game.

The 2020 contest between Central Michigan and Bryant will be their first-ever meeting on the gridiron. It will also mark Bryant’s first-ever game against an opponent from the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).

Bryant University competes in the Northeast Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Bulldogs started their football program in 1999 and have an all-time record of 112-81.

Bryant is the fourth and final non-conference opponent for Central Michigan in 2020. The Chippewas are scheduled to open the 2020 season at home in Mount Pleasant against the San Jose State Spartans on Sept. 5.

The following two weeks, Central Michigan travels to face back-to-back Big Ten opponents. The Chippewas take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sept. 12 and the Northwestern Wildcats on Sept. 19.

Central Michigan opens the 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Kentucky Wildcats. The game is set for 3:30pm ET on ESPNU.
