The 2011 preseason USA Today Coaches College Football Poll has been released and the Oklahoma Sooners top the rankings. Oklahoma received 42 first place votes and 1,454 total points.
The SEC has eight teams in the Top 25 poll to lead all conferences. The Big 12 and Big Ten are tied for second with five teams each. Listed below is the full conference breakdown:

The 2010 preseason USA Today Coaches Top 25 College Football Poll has been released and the Alabama Crimson Tide top the rankings. Alabama, the 2009 National Champion, received 55 first place votes and 1,469 total points.

With their 45-35 victory over the previously no. 1 Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry, the Texas Longhorns have taken over the top spot in both the AP Poll and USA Today Coaches’ Poll. The Longhorns (6-0, 2-0) face the Missouri Tigers this weekend.
Missouri (5-1, 1-1) suffered their first loss this weekend at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Tigers fell to 11th in the AP and 12th in the Coaches’ Poll.

The USC Trojans rolled in to Corvallis last night ranked number one in both polls with blowout wins over Ohio State and Virginia. They left with a damaging 27-21 loss to the Oregon State Beavers.
Trailing 21-0 at half, the Trojans came back to within a touchdown. But late in the 4th quarter, a Mark Sanchez pass was intercepted by OSU saftety Greg Laybourn. Jacquizz Rodgers, who rushed for 186 yards, punched it in from there to give the Beavers a 14-point lead late in the game.

After their 52-7 victory in Charlottesville over the Virginia Cavaliers, the USC Trojans have risen from 2nd to 1st in both the AP and USA Today Coaches’ Poll. The Trojans received 21 first place votes in the AP and 23 in the Coaches’ Poll.
The Georgia Bulldogs, despite leading Georgia Southern 38-0 and easing off to win 45-21, fell one spot to 2nd place. The Bulldogs received 20 first place votes in both the AP and Coaches’ Poll.
