The 2010-11 college football bowl schedule begins on December 18, 2010 with the New Mexico Bowl and ends on January 10, 2011 with the Tostitos BCS National Championship game.

Week 14 of the 2010 college football season is championship week. Five conferences will have their championship games this week beginning with the MAC Championship Game on Thursday.

The 2010 Big 12 Championship football game is set with the Nebraska Cornhuskers facing the Oklahoma Sooners. The game will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas (ABC).

The 2010 SEC Championship football game is set with the Auburn Tigers facing the South Carolina Gamecocks. The game will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. ET at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta (CBS).

The 2010 ACC Championship football game is set with the Florida State Seminoles facing the Virginia Tech Hokies. The game will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 7:45 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina (ESPN).

The 2010 Conference USA Championship football game is set with the SMU Mustangs facing the UCF Knights. UCF will host the game at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando.

SMU (7-5, 7-2 C-USA) won the Conference USA Western Division on Friday with a 45-38 overtime win over East Carolina. The Mustangs were the West Division co-champions last year, but did not play in the championship game due to a tiebreaker.

The 2010 MAC Championship football game is set with the Miami (OH) RedHawks facing the Northern Illinois Huskies. The game will be held on Friday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan (ESPN2).

Week 13 of the 2010 college football season is Thanksgiving week. It’s also considered Rivalry Week. There are some great college rivalry games played this week, and some good Thanksgiving Day NFL matchups also.

ESPN Gameday will broadcast live from Stillwater, Oklahoma, the site of the Oklahoma at Oklahoma State game.
