It’s finally here! The 2010 college football season begins on Thursday, September 2. There are 18 football games on Thursday and three Top 25 teams will be in action.

2nd ranked Ohio State is the highest ranked team in action on Thursday. They host the Marshall Thundering Herd. 13th ranked Miami (FL) hosts Florida A&M and 24th ranked Utah hosts Pittsburgh.

2010 SEC Football Schedules Posted

The 2010 SEC football schedules are now official. The season begins on Thursday, September 2 when the South Carolina Gamecocks host the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

The conference delayed making the schedules official because they were attempting to change Alabama’s 2010 football schedule. In the end, only the Tide’s game against Georgia State was moved.

2010 Hawaii at USC Football Game to be Played as Scheduled

The season opener for both the Hawaii Warriors and the USC Trojans will be played as scheduled, the NCAA has announced. The two teams will meet in Honolulu on Thursday, September 2, 2010 (11:00 p.m. ET – ESPN).

Recent sanctions against USC had put the game in possible jeopardy. Since they are now on probation, the Trojans are prohibited from scheduling a 13th game at Hawaii, as the NCAA allows under the Hawaii Exemption.
