The Florida State Seminoles will open the 2012 season against the Murray State Racers, the Palm Beach Post has reported. The game will be played on September 1, 2012.
This will be FSU’s first meeting with Murray State, a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision.

The Auburn Tigers have completed their 2011 non-conference football schedule, DecaturDaily.com has reported. The Tigers will open the 2011 season at home on September 3 against the Utah State Aggies.
The 2011 matchup between Auburn and Utah State will be the first ever meeting of the two schools.

Kansas State has added Kent State and Eastern Kentucky to complete their 2011 non-conference football schedule. Eastern Kentucky will receive $375,000 while Kent State will receive a larger amount for the one game series (source).
With the departure of Nebraska to the Big Ten in 2011, the Big 12 will only have three non-conference games with a nine game conference schedule.

FSU and ULM (a/k/a Louisiana-Monroe) have never met in football. The Warhawks are a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

The LSU Tigers have added a game against the South Alabama Jaguars to their 2012 football schedule, the school has announced. The Tigers will host the Jaguars in Baton Rouge on October 15, 2016.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. South Alabama, an FCS school, expects to complete a full transition to the Football Bowl Championship Subdivision by the 2013 season. They will compete in the Sun Belt Conference.

The BYU Cougars have agreed to a 6-year football contract with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, ESPN has announced. Dates of the games and other details have not been finalized yet.
BYU and Notre Dame will meet six times through the 2020 season. The Irish lead the overall series against the Cougars 4-2. The two schools last played in 2005, a 49-23 win for Notre Dame in South Bend.

A 2016 and 2019 home-and-home football series between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Purdue Boilermakers has been canceled, Purdue has announced.
The two schools were scheduled to play at West Lafayette, Indiana on September 17, 2016 and at Stillwater, Oklahoma on September 14, 2019.

The BYU Cougars have scheduled future football games against five WAC schools for 2011 and 2012. The games are part of a scheduling agreement with BYU and the WAC.

The Big Ten has announced their 2011 and 2012 conference football schedules. Changes were made to the existing schedules after Nebraska was added from the Big 12.
A Big Ten Football Championship Game will be held starting in 2011 since the conference now has 12 teams split into two divisions.

The Central Michigan Chippewas and the NC State Wolfpack have scheduled a 3-game football series, CM-Life.com has reported. The series includes two games in Raleigh, NC and one game in Mount Pleasant, MI.
The series will begin when Central Michigan travels to face NC State on October 8, 2011 at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. Central Michigan was scheduled to play at Michigan State on Oct. 8, but the game may have been moved due to expansion of the Big Ten.

The Georgia Bulldogs have added the Buffalo Bulls to their 2012 football schedule, the University of Buffalo announced today. Georgia will host Buffalo at Sanford Stadium in Athens on September 1, 2012.
This will be the first ever meeting between Georgia of the SEC and Buffalo of the MAC. Earlier this month, the Bulls announced that they will play at Tennessee in 2011.

Two of the top powers in college football, the USC Trojans and Texas Longhorns, have announced a home-and-home series which will start in 2017.
The Texas Longhorns will meet the USC Trojans on September 16, 2017 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to begin the series. The return game will take place on September 15, 2018 at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin to complete the series.

The UTEP Miners at Texas Longhorns football game originally scheduled for September 8, 2012 in Austin has been moved to 2016, Statesman.com has reported. An exact date has not been announced.
The game was moved due to the Big 12 Conference’s recent realignment from 12 to 10 teams. The league will move to a nine-game football schedule in 2012. Therefore, each team will only play three non-conference games per season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have added the Colorado Buffaloes to their 2011 football schedule. The game has been officially announced by Ohio State University.
The Buckeyes will host the Buffaloes at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on September 24, 2011. Ohio State will pay Colorado $1.4 million for the game. This is a single game matchup and will not be a home-and-home series.

The BYU Cougars and Texas Longhorns have agreed to a home-and-home football series, the schools have announced. The series will kickoff in 2013 with a game in Provo, followed by the finale in 2014 with a game in Austin.
With the addition of this series the Cougars and Longhorns are scheduled to meet three times over the next five years, with the first meeting coming on September 10, 2011 at Texas.

The Buffalo Bulls will travel to face the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville in 2011, Buffalo has announced. The Bulls will travel to face the Volunteers at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on October 1, 2011.
Earlier today, news broke that Tennessee was backing out of a 2011-12 home-and-home football series with North Carolina. As a result, the Volunteers have scheduled Buffalo for 2011. This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

The Miami (FL) Hurricanes have scheduled a game in 2015 with the Cincinnati Bearcats. They have also confirmed the dates for their 2014-15 home-and-home series with the Memphis Tigers (Source – ht Andrew).
Miami will host Cincinnati at Sun Life Stadium on October 3, 2015. It will be the 12th meeting between the two schools. The Hurricanes lead the series 10-1 and have won 10 straight since losing the first meeting in 1947.
