    UCLA Bruins to play Texas Longhorns at Cowboys Stadium in 2014

    Cowboys StadiumThe UCLA Bruins will play the Texas Longhorns at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, the Los Angeles Times has reported.

    UCLA and Texas are set to play on September 13, 2014. The Bruins and Longhorns have met six times with the series tied at three games each.

    The two schools recently completed a home-and-home series. UCLA won 34-12 in Austin in 2010 and Texas won 49-20 in Los Angeles earlier this season. Read Full Story »

    Report: UCF and Oklahoma working on Home-and-home Football Series

    UCFOklahomaThe UCF Knights and the Oklahoma Sooners are close to finalizing a home-and-home football series, UCFSports.com has reported.

    Will the SEC move to a Nine-Game Conference Football Schedule?

    SECWith the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M to the SEC in 2012, there is a possibility that the conference will move to a nine-game conference schedule in the future. But could it be as soon as the 2012 season?

    South Carolina President Harris Pastides thinks so. On Sunday, Pastides told the Daily Gamecock that the SEC will play nine conference football games each year. That means each SEC team would play six games from their division, one permanent crossover game and two rotating games from the opposite division. Read Full Story »

    Missouri Tigers to join the SEC in 2012

    SECThe SEC has announced that they have accepted the Missouri Tigers as their 14th member effective July 1, 2012.

    The Pittsburgh Panthers and the UCF Knights have cancelled their 2012 football game, The Orlando Sentinel has reported.

    UCF was scheduled to travel to Pittsburgh on September 8, 2012. Due to realignment, the Panthers asked to cancel the agreement and the Knights agreed. Read Full Story »

    West Virginia to join Big 12 Conference in 2012

    Big 12The West Virginia Mountaineers have accepted an invitation to join the Big 12 Conference, it was announced today.

    West Virginia will become a full member of the Big 12 on July 1, 2012. Their current conference, the Big East, requires a 27-month waiting period before leaving. The release indicates that the Mountaineers will be able to bypass that hurdle. Read Full Story »

    Conference USA and Mountain West to combine into one Conference

    MWC-C-USAConference USA and the Mountain West Conference have announced that they will combine into one football association.

    The partnership will create a single football-only association consisting of 22 teams. That number could change if some members of either C-USA or MWC leave for another conference.
