The Wisconsin Badgers will open the 2012 football season at home against the Northern Iowa Panthers, UNI announced today.

The Tulane Green Wave and the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2012 and 2016, Tulane announced today.
Tulane will travel to face Louisiana-Lafayette at Cajun Field in Lafayette on October 6, 2012. On October 8, 2016, the Green Wave will host the Ragin’ Cajuns at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. Read Full Story »
The 2011 Conference USA Football Championship Game has been set for December 3 at 12:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
Conference USA was sued by ESPN in March after the league signed a new five-year contract with Fox. ESPN sued CUSA because their contract included a provision which gave the network exclusive rights to re-negotiate the deal. Read Full Story »
The Presidents of the current SEC schools met today to discuss future conference expansion. Texas A&M was the leading candidate to bolt their current conference, the Big 12, to join the SEC in 2012.
After the meeting, Dr. Bernie Machen, Chair of the Southeastern Conference Presidents and Chancellors, issued the following statement:

The Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles and the Boise State Broncos have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2012 and 2013, Southern Miss announced Wednesday.
Southern Miss will host Boise State at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on October 6, 2012. To complete the home-and-home series, the Golden Eagles will travel to face the Broncos at Bronco Stadium September 28, 2013. Read Full Story »
The Georgia Bulldogs have added the ULM Warhawks to their 2015 football schedule, Sicemdawgs.com has reported.
Georgia will host ULM at Sanford Stadium in Athens on November 7, 2015 and will pay the Warhawks a $1.2 million guarantee for the game. The two schools have a “Memorandum of Understanding” to play the game with an official contract in the works. Read Full Story »
The UMass Minutemen and the Vanderbilt Commodores are close to finalizing a four-game home-and-home football series, Tennessean.com has reported.

ESPN has announced their 2011 college football schedule that will be broadcast in 3D. ESPN 3D will air 20 regular-season games, the Allstate BCS National Championship Game and five bowl games.

The Big Ten announced today that they will play a nine game conference football schedule beginning in the 2017 season.
During odd-numbered years, three teams from both the Legends Division and Leaders Division will have five conference home games. The remaining three schools from each division will have five conference home games in even years. Read Full Story »
Georgia and New Mexico have each added a game against the Southern Jaguars to their future football schedules, TheAdvocate.com has reported.

The 2012 football season will be the first for the TCU Horned Frogs in the Big East conference. Yesterday at the Big East media days, TCU athletics director Chris Del Conte announced their 2012 Big East opponents and locations.
The addition of TCU will give the Big East nine members in 2012. Each school will play each other, continuing the true round-robin conference schedule. The only change for the current members is a reduction in non-conference games from five to four. Read Full Story »
