Texas Tech President Guy Bailey is “very hopeful” that West Virginia will be in the Big 12 in 2012. Bailey spoke to RedRaiderSports.com in wake of the upcoming 2012 Big 12 football schedules.

West Virginia Athletic Director Oliver Luck says that “there is no question” that the Mountaineers will play a Big 12 football schedule in 2012.
In a conversation with WVIllustrated.com, Luck had the following to say regarding West Virginia’s imminent move to the Big 12:

The West Virginia Mountaineers are in discussions to cancel their 2012 football game at Florida State, the Tallahassee Democrat has reported.

The UCLA Bruins will play the Texas Longhorns at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, the Los Angeles Times has reported.
UCLA and Texas are set to play on September 13, 2014. The Bruins and Longhorns have met six times with the series tied at three games each.

The UCF Knights and the Oklahoma Sooners are close to finalizing a home-and-home football series, UCFSports.com has reported.

The TCU Horned Frogs, who were set to join the Big East next season, have received an invitation to join the Big 12 Conference. Negotiations between TCU and the Big 12 are ongoing, but the move is imminent.
TCU has been a member of the Mountain West Conference since 2005. Between 1923 and 1995, the Horned Frogs were members of the Southwest Conference before it broke up and became what is now the Big 12.
