  • TCU Accepts Offer to join the Big East in 2012

    The TCU Horned Frogs have accepted an offer to join the Big East Conference in all sports. TCU will join the league on July 1, 2012.

    TCU is the third school this year to announce they are leaving the Mountain West. BYU is leaving to become an independent and Utah is joining the new Pac-12.

  • Louisville, North Carolina Schedule 2011-12 Home-and-home Football Series

    The Louisville Cardinals and the North Carolina Tar Heels will play a home-and-home football series in 2011 and 2012, the schools have announced.

    Louisville will travel to face North Carolina at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill on September 3, 2011. The Cardinals will host the Tar Heels at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in 2012 on a date to be determined.

  • USF adds UTEP and FAMU to Future Non-Conference Football Schedules

    On Tuesday, South Florida AD Doug Woolard announced that the Bulls of the Big East have added the UTEP Miners of Conference USA and the Florida A&M Rattlers of the MEAC to their future non-conference schedules.

    The Bulls and Miners will meet on September 24, 2011 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa in the only game of the series. The meeting will be the first matchup between the schools.

  • Connecticut adds Home-and-home Football Series vs. Virginia & Western Michigan

    The Connecticut Huskies have scheduled home-and-home football series against Virginia and Western Michigan, has reported. The Huskies have also added future dates against several other teams.

    Connecticut will host Western Michigan at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on October 1, 2011. The Huskies will travel to face the Broncos at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo on September 22, 2012.

  • West Virginia to play BYU at FedEx Field in 2016

    The West Virginia Mountaineers will take on the BYU Cougars in a non-conference game at FedEx Field, West Virginia has announced.

    FedEx Field is home to the NFL’s Washington Redskins. The game is scheduled for September 24, 2016 and will mark the first ever meeting between the Cougars and Mountaineers.

  • Maryland, West Virginia extend Home-and-home Football Series through 2017

    The Maryland Terrapins and the West Virginia Mountaineers have extended their home-and-home football series through 2017, has announced.

    Maryland and West Virginia were previously scheduled to meet each year through 2013. The extension of the series brings the total to eight games overall with four games in Morgantown, West Virginia and four games in College park, Maryland.

  • Connecticut and UCF Schedule 2014 & 2015 Home-and-home Football Series

    The Connecticut Huskies and the UCF Knights have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2014 & 2015, UCF has announced. UConn and UCF have never met in football.

    UCF will travel to face Connecticut at Rentschler Field in East Hartford in 2014. In 2015, the Knights will host the Huskies at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando.

  • Pittsburgh Panthers to host Delaware Blue Hens in 2014 and 2019

    The Pittsburgh Panthers will host the Delaware Blue Hens in 2014 and 2019, has reported. The 2014 game will be the first meeting between the two schools.

    The Panthers will host the Blue Hens at Heinz Field on August 30, 2014 in both teams’ season opener. The two schools will also open the 2019 season at Heinz Field on August 31, 2019.

  • Miami (FL) to host Cincinnati in 2015, adds dates for Memphis series

    The Miami (FL) Hurricanes have scheduled a game in 2015 with the Cincinnati Bearcats. They have also confirmed the dates for their 2014-15 home-and-home series with the Memphis Tigers (Source – ht Andrew).

    Miami will host Cincinnati at Sun Life Stadium on October 3, 2015. It will be the 12th meeting between the two schools. The Hurricanes lead the series 10-1 and have won 10 straight since losing the first meeting in 1947.

  • Rutgers and Temple Schedule 4-game Football Series for 2015-18

    The Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the Temple Owls have scheduled a four-game home-and-home football series for 2015-18, the schools announced today.

    Rutgers will host Temple at Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway, NJ in 2015 and 2017. Rutgers will travel to face Temple at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in 2016 and 2018. Exact dates of the games were not announced.
