    Wisconsin adds UTEP to 2012 Football Schedule

    The Wisconsin Badgers have added the UTEP Miners to their 2012 football schedule. An exact date for the game has not been announced (Source).

    This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. UTEP, currently a member of Conference USA, finished the 2009 season 4-8 overall and 3-5 in the conference. Read Full Story »

    Ohio State Buckeyes add Colorado Buffaloes to 2011 Football Schedule

    The Ohio State Buckeyes have added the Colorado Buffaloes to their 2011 football schedule. The game has been officially announced by Ohio State University.

    The Buckeyes will host the Buffaloes at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on September 24, 2011. Ohio State will pay Colorado $1.4 million for the game. This is a single game matchup and will not be a home-and-home series. Read Full Story »

    Colorado Buffaloes to play at Ohio State Buckeyes in 2011?

    The Colorado Buffaloes and Ohio State Buckeyes are working on a deal to play in 2011, DailyCamera.com has reported. The game would be played at Ohio Stadium, also known as “The Horseshoe.”

    This would be a single game rather than a home-and-home series, meaning Ohio State would not play in Boulder. The payout that Colorado would receive is reported to be around $2 million. Read Full Story »

    Michigan State and UCF add Jacksonville State to 2014 Football Schedules

    The Michigan State Spartans and the UCF Golden Knights have each added the Jacksonville State Gamecocks to their 2014 football schedule, JSU has announced.

    Michigan State will host Jacksonville State at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on August 30, 2014. It will be the season opener and the first meeting ever between the two schools. Read Full Story »

    Alabama & Michigan to open 2012 Football Season at Cowboys Stadium

    The Alabama Crimson Tide and Michigan Wolverines will open the 2012 football season at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, MGoBlog is reporting. The game is likely to be played on September 1, 2012.

    Cowboys Stadium will play host to the Oregon State-TCU game on September 4, 2010 and a possible LSU-Oregon matchup to open the 2011 season. The stadium is also the site of the “Southwest Classic”, a 10-game series between Arkansas & Texas A&M. Read Full Story »

    2011 Big Ten Football Championship Game to be played in Indianapolis

    The first ever Big Ten Football Championship Game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana in December 2011, the conference announced on Thursday.

    The addition of the Nebraska Cornhuskers to the Big Ten in 2011 gives the conference 12 teams, which is the number required by the NCAA to hold a championship game. Read Full Story »

    Big Ten Likely to Adopt a 9-Game Schedule, Conference Championship Game

    The Big Ten will likely adopt a 9-game conference football schedule and stage a conference championship game, commissioner Jim Delaney said at the Big Ten media days.

    Delaney said the nine-game conference schedule would not begin until at least 2013. On the other hand, the Big Ten Championship game should begin in December 2011. A site for the game has yet to be determined. Read Full Story »

    The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will play at Ole Miss in 2011 and at Illinois in 2012, the school announced on Wednesday.

    The Minnesota Golden Gophers and Texas Longhorns have canceled their 2015-16 home-and-home football series, the schools announced Tuesday.

    Big 12, Mountain West & WAC Future Football Schedules Updated

    The Big 12, Mountain West and WAC future football schedules have been updated. Updates reflect the recent conference changes by Boise State, Colorado, Nebraska and Utah.

    Boise State is heading to the Mountain West in July of 2011. From 2011 forward, their WAC opponents have been removed from their schedules, and Boise State has been removed from all of the WAC future schedules. The Broncos won’t be added to any Mountain West schedules until the conference announces their new scheduling format. Read Full Story »
