The Penn State Nittany Lions and the Pittsburgh Panthers, scheduled to meet in 2016 and 2017, have added two additional games to the series.
Pitt will host Penn State at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on September 8, 2018 and will then travel to face the Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium on September 14, 2019.
Last year, the two schools announced games at Pittsburgh on Sept. 10, 2016 and at Penn State on Sept. 16, 2017.

Nebraska and Oklahoma have scheduled a 2021-22 home-and-home football series, both schools announced this afternoon.
Oklahoma will host the first game of the series at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman on Sept. 18, 2021. Nebraska will host the second game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on Sept. 17, 2022.
“Our rivalry with Oklahoma has been one of the great traditional matchups in the history of college football,” Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne said.

Southern Miss and Nebraska have been going back and forth over where to play their 2013 contest, which was originally slated for Hattiesburg on Sept. 7.
First the game was rumored to be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, and then later Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City was mentioned.
A third possibility was having the Cornhuskers host the game in Lincoln, according to Nebraska AD Tom Osborne.

The 2012 Big Ten Football Championship Game is set with the Nebraska Cornhuskers facing the Wisconsin Badgers. The game will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana (FOX).

The Minnesota Golden Gophers and the New Mexico State Aggies have finalized a 2013-14 home-and-home football series, the Star Tribune has reported.
In the first game of the series on Sept. 7, 2013, Minnesota will travel to Las Cruces to face New Mexico State at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The second and final game will be hosted by the Gophers on Sept. 13, 2014 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Minnesota was previously slated to face North Carolina on the same two dates, but the Gophers canceled the series and payed the Tar Heels an $800,000 buyout.

The Big Ten officially announced today the addition of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to the conference. Rutgers will join in all sports at a date to be determined.

The Big Ten officially announced on Monday the addition of the Maryland Terrapins to the conference effective July 1, 2014. Maryland will join in all sports for the 2014-15 academic year.
Maryland has been a member of the ACC since 1953. Prior to that, the Terrapins were a member of the Southern Conference from 1922-1951 before going Independent for the 1952 season.

The University of Maryland’s Board of Regents voted today to accept an invitation to join the Big Ten. An official announcement will be made by the school at 3 p.m. ET. The Big Ten Network will follow with a special report at 4 p.m.

The Miami Hurricanes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are set to begin a football series in 2014. But the series may not be played as agreed to, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
Miami and Nebraska, which agreed to the home-and-home series back in 2008, are set to meet in Lincoln in 2014 and in Miami in 2015. Sources told the Journal Star that the series “may be in jeopardy.”
Nebraska athletics director Tom Osborne responded to the rumors by stating that the Cornhuskers remain “committed to the series.”

The Miami (OH) RedHawks have updated their future football schedules, interim athletic director Steve Snyder announced today.
Miami has added games against Eastern Kentucky in 2014 and Michigan State in 2017, and also announced a date for their 2016 game at Cincinnati.
The RedHawks will host the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Yager Stadium on Sept. 6, 2014.

The Michigan State Spartans have added the Furman Paladins to their 2016 football schedule, Furman announced this afternoon.
Furman will travel to face Michigan State at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on Sept. 17, 2016. The two schools have never met in football.
“We’re pleased to add Michigan State to our 2016 football schedule and look forward to the challenge,” Furman director of athletics Dr. Gary Clark said.
Furman, located in Greenville, SC, is a member of the Southern Conference in the Football Championship Division.

While looking at the top 25 schedule for Saturday, it quickly dawned on me that this week is pretty much a dog week (whenever ESPN College Gameday is on an aircraft carrier, that’s a pretty good sign). I think the top 2 teams (Alabama, K-State) will run roughshod over their two opponents (Texas A&M, TCU). Oregon and Notre Dame have two cupcake games Saturday, so the top four should remain unchanged.
I then took a look at the Big 10 and saw a matchup between two programs that normally would have big time bowl ramifications. Nebraska and Penn State are two of the most successful programs in college football, and their fan bases are some of the most dedicated in the country.

The Michigan Wolverines have added games against Arkansas, BYU, Hawaii, Miami (OH), and Ball State to their future football schedules, the school announced today.
Michigan will play the Arkansas Razorbacks in a home-and-home series beginning in 2018 at Michigan Stadium (Sept. 1) and culminating in 2019 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (Aug. 31). Both games will be season openers.
The Wolverines and Razorbacks met for the first and only time in the 1999 CompUSA Florida Citrus Bowl. Michigan won 45-31.

Nebraska and Oklahoma have agreed in principle to play a 2021-22 home-and-home football series, the Omaha World-Herald has reported.
The first game is expected to be played at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman in 2021 with the second game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln in 2022.
Although a contract has yet to be signed, both schools want the series to happen, Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne said.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have added the San Diego State Aztecs to their 2013 football schedule, the school announced today.
Ohio State will host San Diego State at Ohio Stadium on Sept. 7, 2013. The two schools met three times in the early 2000′s and the Buckeyes came away with the win in each contest.
With the addition of the SDSU game on Sept. 7, Ohio State has moved their home contest against Florida A&M to Sept. 21. Buffalo occupied the Sept. 21 position on OSU’s schedule and has been moved to the season opener on Aug. 31.
