    HawaiiThe Hawaii Warriors are talking to both Notre Dame and Wisconsin about scheduling a future home-and-home football series, the Honolulu Star Advertiser has reported.

    UH Athletic Director Jim Donovan told the paper that they are looking “out toward 2017, ’18 … or beyond” for games against both Notre Dame and Wisconsin.

  • BYU Scheduling News: Hawaii through 2020 and BCS Opponent Rumors

    BYUThe BYU Cougars and Hawaii Warriors have signed an agreement to play football almost every year through 2020, StarAdvertiser.com has reported.

    Specific dates and locations were not discussed which shows that the contract will be fluid as the years progress. BYU, which plays its first season as an FBS Independent in 2011, needs some regular opponents to fill out their future schedules.

    Big Ten NetworkThe Big Ten Network has announced their 2011 prime time Football TV Schedule. Seven games were announced, but the network will televise more than 40 games total this fall.

    “We’re very excited about our primetime schedule and think it’s the strongest we’ve ever had,” Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman said. “There’s always extra electricity in the air for Big Ten night games, and we have some top-quality matchups.”

    ESPNESPN has announced that they have selected seven 2011 Big Ten college football games for prime time television coverage on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. Coverage for each game will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET.

  • Michigan State’s 2011 opener moved to Friday night

    Youngstown StateMichigan StateMichigan State’s 2011 season opener against Youngstown State has been moved back one day to Friday, September 2, the school announced today. The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network at 7:30 p.m. ET.

    The game will be the first ever meeting between Michigan State and Youngstown State. The Penguins compete in the Missouri Valley Conference of the FCS.

    Stanford will travel to face Northwestern at Ryan Field in Evanston on September 14, 2019. The Cardinal will host the Wildcats at Stanford Stadium in Pal Alto on September 19, 2020.

    Northwestern will travel to face Notre Dame at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend on November 15, 2014. The Wildcats will host the Fighting Irish at Ryan Field in Evanston during the 2018 season. An exact date was not announced.
