    Big Ten Names Divisions “Legends” and “Leaders”; Unveils New Logo

    The Big Ten has named their new divisions the Legends and Leaders, it was announced today. The conference also released a new logo (pictured at right).

    With the addition of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Big Ten has twelve teams. The conference is now split into two divisions of six and a championship game will pit the two division champs against each other. Read Full Story »

    Hawaii Warriors to join Mountain West for Football in 2012

    The Hawaii Warriors will join the Mountain West Conference in football on July 1, 2012, the school announced today. All other Warrior sports will become a member of the Big West Conference.

    Hawaii is the fourth school to leave the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) this year. Boise State will join the MWC in 2011, while Fresno State and Nevada will join in 2012. Read Full Story »

    TCU Accepts Offer to join the Big East in 2012

    The TCU Horned Frogs have accepted an offer to join the Big East Conference in all sports. TCU will join the league on July 1, 2012.

    TCU is the third school this year to announce they are leaving the Mountain West. BYU is leaving to become an independent and Utah is joining the new Pac-12. Read Full Story »

    WAC to add Texas State and UTSA for Football in 2012

    The WAC announced yesterday that they will add the Texas State Bobcats and the UTSA Roadrunners for football in 2012. Both schools will join effective July 1, 2012.

    Texas State and UTSA are currently members of the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivison (FCS). The Denver Pioneers have also accepted an invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference, but they do not field a football team. Read Full Story »

    Big 12, Mountain West & WAC Future Football Schedules Updated

    The Big 12, Mountain West and WAC future football schedules have been updated. Updates reflect the recent conference changes by Boise State, Colorado, Nebraska and Utah.

    Boise State is heading to the Mountain West in July of 2011. From 2011 forward, their WAC opponents have been removed from their schedules, and Boise State has been removed from all of the WAC future schedules. The Broncos won’t be added to any Mountain West schedules until the conference announces their new scheduling format. Read Full Story »

    Utah Utes to Join Pac-10 on Thursday

    The Utah Utes will accept an invitation to join the Pac-10 on Thursday, various sources have reported.

    The addition of Utah will make the Pac-10 a 12-team conference. Colorado accepted an invitation last week, and both schools will join for the 2012 season, but possibly for the 2011 season. Read Full Story »
