The New Mexico State Aggies have announced their 2013 football schedule, which features games against Boston College, Minnesota, San Diego State, Texas, and UCLA.
New Mexico State will be playing their first season as an FBS Independent after the WAC discontinued football. They had been a member of the WAC since 2005. Prior to that, they were part of the Big West Conference from 1983-2000 and the Sun Belt Conference from 2001-2004.Read Full Story »
The BYU Cougars have announced their 2013 football schedule, which features games against Boise State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.
BYU announced their schedule this evening on BYUtv. The 2013 season will be the third for Brigham Young as an independent in football.

The Navy Midshipmen have posted their 2016 non-conference football schedule to their official website, which includes games against Air Force, Army, and Notre Dame.

The BYU Cougars will host the Idaho State Bengals in 2013, Matt Gittins of KPVI News 6 announced via Twitter.
The game will be played on Nov. 16, 2013 at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo. It will be the fifth meeting between the two schools, but only the second since 1951. BYU leads the series 4-0.

Most teams have their 2013 non-conference football schedules set, but there are eight teams that still need one game: Duke, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Marshall, Tulane, BYU, Missouri, and Texas State.

The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 42-14 Monday night in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game.
Alabama (13-1, 7-1 SEC) is the first team to win back-to-back BCS championships and has claimed the BCS title three times in the past four years.

The Boston College Eagles have added a game against New Mexico State to their 2013 football schedule and will open the season vs. Stony Brook, several sources have reported.
The Stony Brook Seawolves will visit Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill to open the 2013 season on Aug. 31. This matchup was previously reported, but the date was recently reported by Newsday writer Greg Logan (via BCInterruption.com).

Navy and Notre Dame will play at FedEx Field in Landover, MD in 2014, Navy announced today. The game is set for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.

The Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen will face off on Saturday in the 113th edition of the Army-Navy game. The game will by played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA (3 p.m. ET, CBS).

All eyes turn to Hollywood Saturday night as the long time rivals Notre Dame Fighting Irish battle the reeling USC Trojans. These two programs have engaged in some historic games throughout their rivalry. Usually, one or both of these teams are highly ranked and this game has national title implications. This year is no different, but it has bucked the recent trend of USC being the team that is ranked.
The Irish have put together a remarkable run in 2012 and a win over USC would propel them into the BCS Championship. The only thing that stands in their way to glory is a USC team that went into this season ranked #1, but have had several disappointing losses and have put their head coach’s job in jeopardy. The Minnesota Golden Gophers and the New Mexico State Aggies have finalized a 2013-14 home-and-home football series, the Star Tribune has reported.
In the first game of the series on Sept. 7, 2013, Minnesota will travel to Las Cruces to face New Mexico State at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The second and final game will be hosted by the Gophers on Sept. 13, 2014 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Minnesota was previously slated to face North Carolina on the same two dates, but the Gophers canceled the series and payed the Tar Heels an $800,000 buyout.Read Full Story »
