    BYU, Virginia add Two Games to Future Football Series

    BYU CougarsThe BYU Cougars and the Virginia Cavaliers have added two additional games to their future football series.

    BYU will travel to face Virginia at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville on Sept. 7, 2019. The Cavaliers will then travel to face the Cougars at LaVell Stadium in Provo on Sept. 19, 2020.

    BYU, UConn schedule 2014-15 Home-and-home Football Series

    Rentschler FieldThe BYU Cougars and the UConn Huskies have scheduled a 2014-15 home-and-home football series, SNYUCONN has reported. The two schools have never met in football.

    BYU will open the 2014 season at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014. The Cougars will then host the Huskies at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on October 31, 2015. Read Full Story »

    New Mexico State Aggies announce 2013 Football Schedule

    New Mexico StateThe New Mexico State Aggies have announced their 2013 football schedule, which features games against Boston College, Minnesota, San Diego State, Texas, and UCLA.

    New Mexico State will be playing their first season as an FBS Independent after the WAC discontinued football. They had been a member of the WAC since 2005. Prior to that, they were part of the Big West Conference from 1983-2000 and the Sun Belt Conference from 2001-2004. Read Full Story »

    BYU Cougars announce 2013 Football Schedule

    The BYU Cougars have announced their 2013 football schedule, which features games against Boise State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.

    BYU announced their schedule this evening on BYUtv. The 2013 season will be the third for Brigham Young as an independent in football.

    Due to the Mountain West Conference expending to 12 teams and adding a championship game, BYU and Hawaii have canceled their 2013 contest which was scheduled for Dec. 7. Read Full Story »

    BYU & Nevada Schedule 3-game Football Series

    BYU-NevadaThe BYU Cougars and the Nevada Wolf Pack have scheduled a 3-game football series for 2013, 2014, and 2019, both BYU and Nevada announced this evening.

    Nevada will host the first game of the series at Mackay Stadium in Reno on Nov. 30, 2013. The final two games will be played at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Oct. 18, 2014 and Sept. 21, 2019. Read Full Story »

    Navy Midshipmen post 2016 Non-Conference Football Schedule

    Navy MidshipmenThe Navy Midshipmen have posted their 2016 non-conference football schedule to their official website, which includes games against Air Force, Army, and Notre Dame.

    Navy is set to open the 2016 season at home against the Fordham Rams on Sept. 3. After playing at Air Force on Oct. 1, the Midshipmen face Notre Dame at a site to be determined on Nov. 5. Read Full Story »

    Report: BYU Cougars to host Idaho State Bengals in 2013

    LaVell Edwards StadiumThe BYU Cougars will host the Idaho State Bengals in 2013, Matt Gittins of KPVI News 6 announced via Twitter.

    The game will be played on Nov. 16, 2013 at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo. It will be the fifth meeting between the two schools, but only the second since 1951. BYU leads the series 4-0.

    Middle Tennessee was slated to play at BYU on Nov. 16, but that game will likely be moved to one of three open dates on BYU’s schedule: Sept. 14, Sept. 28, or Nov. 30. Read Full Story »

    Texas State to play Prairie View A&M; 2013 Schedule Update

    Texas State BobcatsThe Texas State Bobcats have added the Prairie View A&M Panthers to their 2013 football schedule, the San Marcos Daily Record reported last month.

    Texas State will host Prairie View A&M at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos. A date for the game is to be announced.

    2013 College Football Schedule: Teams that need Non-Conference Games

    Missouri TigersMost teams have their 2013 non-conference football schedules set, but there are eight teams that still need one game: Duke, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Marshall, Tulane, BYU, Missouri, and Texas State.

    In addition, there will be four teams from the Mountain West that can play a 13-game schedule (5 non-conference games) based on the Hawaii Exemption. Under that rule, teams that play at Hawaii have the option of adding a 13th game to offset travel costs. Read Full Story »

    Alabama Crimson Tide win 2013 BCS National Championship Game

    Alabama Crimson TideThe Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 42-14 Monday night in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game.

    Alabama (13-1, 7-1 SEC) is the first team to win back-to-back BCS championships and has claimed the BCS title three times in the past four years.

    A.J. McCarron completed 20-of-28 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns and Eddie Lacy, the MVP of the championship game, rushed 20 times for 140 yards and a touchdown. Read Full Story »

    Boston College adds New Mexico State to 2013 Football Schedule, will open vs. Stony Brook

    Boston CollegeThe Boston College Eagles have added a game against New Mexico State to their 2013 football schedule and will open the season vs. Stony Brook, several sources have reported.

    The Stony Brook Seawolves will visit Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill to open the 2013 season on Aug. 31. This matchup was previously reported, but the date was recently reported by Newsday writer Greg Logan (via

    Navy, Notre Dame to play at FedEx Field in 2014

    Navy-Notre DameNavy and Notre Dame will play at FedEx Field in Landover, MD in 2014, Navy announced today. The game is set for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.

    “FedExField did a fine job of hosting the Army-Navy game and we are looking forward to another sold out event in 2014,” said Naval Academy Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk.

    Idaho will travel to face Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on Nov. 23, 2013. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
