The UMass Minutemen have finalized their 2012 non-conference football schedule, the school announced today.
2012 will be the first season for UMass in the Football Bowl Subdivision. The Minutemen announced in April that they were leaving the Colonial Athletic Association in the FCS to join the Mid-American Conference (MAC).

The Michigan Wolverines have added the UMass Minutemen to their 2012 football schedule, GazetteNet.com has reported.
Michigan will host UMass at Michigan Stadium on September 15, 2012. In their first and only meeting in 2010, the Minutemen visited Ann Arbor and nearly pulled of a huge upset before falling 42-37.

The Boston College Eagles and the UMass Minutemen are working on a new three-game football series, GazetteNet.com has reported.
Boston College athletic director Gene DeFilippio has stated that the two schools will play a two-for-one series in 2014, 2016 and 2018. Exact dates and locations are to be announced.

Games against Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee highlight the future non-conference schedules of the Akron Zips, which were announced by the school today.
Akron has also scheduled home-and-home series against UCF (2012-13), Louisiana-Lafayette (2013 & 2015) and Marshall (2014 & 2016).

The Humanitarian Bowl, formerly sponsored by uDrove, has a new sponsor and is now called the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
The game will be played on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho (5:30 p.m. ET – ESPN). It features the no. 3 team from the MAC versus a WAC team.

The Idaho Vandals have added the Northern Illinois Huskies and the UNLV Rebels to their future football schedules, IdahoStatesman.com has reported.
Idaho will host Northern Illinois in 2013 and will travel to face the Huskies in 2014. Exact dates for the two games were not announced.

The Temple Owls will open the 2013 football season at Notre Dame, the 2011 Temple football media guide reveals.
Temple will travel to face the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend on August 31, 2013. The game appears to be part of the three-game series that was scheduled between the two schools in February.

The Buffalo Bulls have scheduled a game at Penn State in 2015, the Mid-American Conference school announced today.
Buffalo will travel to face the Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley on September 12, 2015. It will be the second meeting between the two schools. In their first meeting in 2007, Penn State beat Buffalo 45-24 in Happy Valley.

The Miami (OH) RedHawks have extended home-and-home football series’ with Cincinnati and Marshall. The games are listed on Miami’s official website.
The RedHawks will host the Cincinnati Bearcats at Yager Stadium in Oxford on September 16, 2017. Miami will then travel to face Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium on September 15, 2018.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Central Michigan Chippewas have scheduled a 3-game football series beginning in 2015, Drew Ellis of The Morning Sun has reported.
Oklahoma State will travel to face Central Michigan at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant in 2015. The Chippewas will then face the Cowboys at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater in two games with dates to be announced.

The Mid-American Conference has announced kickoff times and TV coverage for the 2011 football season. Over 50 games involving MAC teams will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3, ESPN Plus and regional network stations.
Several games still have their kickoff and TV times yet to be determined. Those games will be announced during the season, usually one to two weeks prior to kickoff.

Kent State opens the 2012 season at home against Towson on August 30, a team they have never faced before. Three tough road games follow: at Kentucky (09/08), at Rutgers (09/15) and at Army (10/13).

The Clemson Tigers have added Central Michigan and Kent State to their future football schedules, the school announced today.
Clemson will host the Kent State Golden Flashes at Memorial Stadium on September 14, 2013. Other non-conference games for the Tigers in 2012 include Georgia (08/31), The Citadel (09/07) and at South Carolina (11/30).

The UMass Minutemen are set to join the MAC in 2012, ESPN has reported. UMass will join the conference in football only and will be the 14th member.
UMass is currently a member of the Colonial Athletic Association in the Football Championship Subdivison (FCS) and will play their 2011 season at that level. They will play a full MAC schedule in 2012 and will be eligible for the MAC Championship Game and bowls beginning with the 2013 season.
