The 2012 Mid-American Conference (MAC) football schedules were released today. The season begins on Thursday, August 30 with Akron, Central Michigan and UMass each hosting non-conference opponents.

The Big East has officially announced the addition of the Temple Owls to the conference. Temple will join for football in 2012 and all sports in 2013.

Miami completed their schedule with the addition of a home game against the Southern Illinois Salukis on Sept. 8, 2012. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
