    Northwestern adds Western Michigan to 2013 Football Schedule

    Northwestern WildcatsThe Northwestern Wildcats have added the Western Michigan Broncos to their 2013 football schedule, the school announced today.

    Northwestern will host Western Michigan at Ryan Field in Evanston on Sept. 14, 2013. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

    “We’re looking forward to welcoming Coach Cubit and the Broncos to Ryan Field for the first time next September,” said Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald.  Read Full Story »

    Northern Illinois adds Arkansas to 2014 Football Schedule

    Donald W. Reynolds Razorback StadiumThe Northern Illinois Huskies have added the Arkansas Razorbacks to their 2014 football schedule, NIU Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Jeff Compher announced Wednesday.

    NIU will travel to face Arkansas at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville on Sept. 20, 2014. In their only previous meeting, Arkansas defeated Northern Illinois 30-27 in Fayetteville in 1994.

    “It’s always good to play elite schools from other conferences,” Compher said. “This is a place we haven’t been to for quite some time and provides a great opportunity to showcase our program in an SEC venue.” Read Full Story »

    Wyoming, Eastern Michigan Schedule 2015-16 Home-and-home Football Series

    Wyoming CowboysWyoming has scheduled a home-and-home football series against Eastern Michigan, the school announced today.

    Eastern Michigan will make the trip to War Memorial Stadium in Laramie for their first ever match-up against Wyoming on Sept. 19, 2015. The Cowboys will return the trip to Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti on Sept. 24, 2016.

    The series against Eastern Michigan replaces Utah State on Wyoming’s future football schedules. Read Full Story »

    Northern Illinois & Wyoming Schedule 2015-16 Home-and-home Football Series

    Huskie StadiumThe Northern Illinois Huskies and the Wyoming Cowboys have scheduled a 2015-16 home-and-home football series, NIU announced today.

    Northern Illinois will host Wyoming at Huskie Stadium in Dekalb on Sept. 26, 2015. NIU will then return the trip to War Memorial Stadium in Laramie on Sept. 3, 2016.

    Central Michigan adds Kansas & UNLV to Future Football Schedules

    Central MichiganCentral Michigan has added games against Kansas and UNLV to their future football schedules, the school announced on Friday.

    CMU will begin a two-for-one series with the Kansas Jayhawks at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence on Sept. 20, 2014. The Chippewas play at Kansas again on Sept. 9, 2017 before hosting the Jayhawks at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Sept. 8, 2018. Read Full Story »

    Bowling Green updates Future Non-Conference Football Schedules

    Bowling Green (2010)The Bowling Green Falcons have added a future home-and-home football series against South Alabama and removed a series with Texas State, according to an announcement today.

    Bowling Green and South Alabama will begin their two-game series at Doyt Perry Stadium in Ohio on Sept. 11, 2021. The Falcons will then travel to face the Jaguars at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile on Sept. 3, 2022. Read Full Story »

    Report: UMass to host Maine in 2013

    UMass MinutemenThe UMass Minutemen will host the Maine Black Bears in 2013, according to a report by the Daily Hampshire Gazette.

    According to the agreement, UMass will host Maine at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sept. 7, 2013.

    The two schools first met in 1909 and have played every season since 1958. UMass leads the overall series 41-16-1. Read Full Story »

    Akron, Iowa State schedule 2018-19 Home-and-home Football Series

    The Akron Zips and the Iowa State Cyclones have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2018 and 2019, ISU announced today via Twitter.

    Iowa State will host Akron at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames on Sept. 22, 2018. The final game of the series will have the Zips hosting the Cyclones at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field in Akron on Sept. 7, 2019.

    Bowling Green adds Louisiana Tech, Texas State to Future Football Schedules

    Bowling Green (2010)The Bowling Green Falcons have added future home-and-home football series against Louisiana Tech and Texas State. The Falcons have also made several other additions and changes to their future schedules which have been posted to their official website.

    Bowling Green and Louisiana Tech will begin their two-game series at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, LA on Sept. 22, 2018. The Falcons will then host the Bulldogs at Doyt Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, OH on Sept. 14, 2019. Read Full Story »

    Northwestern adds games vs. Eastern Illinois & Western Michigan, drops Army

    NorthwesternThe Northwestern Wildcats have added future non-conference football games against Western Michigan and Eastern Illinois and dropped a game against Army, the school announced this week.

    Northwestern will host Eastern Illinois at Ryan Field in Evanston, IL on Sept. 12, 2015. The game completed their 2015 football schedule, which was officially announced on Tuesday.

    UMass Minutemen announce Future Non-Conference Football Opponents

    UMass MinutemenThe UMass Minutemen announced a slate of future non-conference football opponents today, which includes games against BCS teams Boston College, Colorado, Florida, Notre Dame, Penn State and Wisconsin.

    UMass will open the 2013 season with a trip to face the Wisconsin Badgers on Aug. 31. After a road game at Kansas State on Sept. 14, the Minutemen will host Vanderbilt on Sept. 21. UMass has never faced Vanderbilt or Wisconsin and is 0-2 against Kansas State. Read Full Story »

    Ohio Bobcats schedule Home-and-home Football Series vs. Kansas & Cincinnati

    Ohio BobcatsThe Ohio Bobcats have scheduled a home-and-home football series against the Kansas Jayhawks (2016-17) and the Cincinnati Bearcats (2018 & 2020), the school announced today.

    Report: Notre Dame to host UMass in 2015

    UMassNotre DameThe Notre Dame Fighting Irish will host the UMass Minutemen in 2015, Gazette.net has reported.

    The contest could reunite Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and UMass head coach Charley Molnar. Molnar was Kelly’s offensive coordinator at Notre Dame in 2010 and 2011. Read Full Story »
