The 2012 Mountain West Conference (MWC) football schedules were released today. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 22 with Air Force at UNLV and Nevada at Hawaii.
The 2012 season will be the first in the MWC for Fresno State, Hawaii and Nevada. Each school comes from the WAC. 2011 was the final season for the TCU Horned Frogs in the MWC after they announced they were joining the Big East and ultimately the Big 12. Read Full Story »Read Full Story »
The Boise State Broncos will host the UT Martin Skyhawks in 2013, according to UTM’s official website.

The 2012 Minnesota-UNLV football game has been moved to Thursday, Aug. 30, the schools announced today.

Conference USA and the Mountain West Conference plan to dissolve and form a new conference, the MWC announced today.
Last October, the two conferences announced that they were combining into one football association. The Nevada Wolf Pack have scheduled a home-and-home football series with the USF Bulls for 2012 and 2015, Nevada announced this morning.

The UNLV Rebels have completed their 2012 non-conference football schedule, Director of Athletics Jim Livengood announced today.

The partnership will create a single football-only association consisting of 22 teams. That number could change if some members of either C-USA or MWC leave for another conference. The TCU Horned Frogs have accepted an invitation to join the Big 12 Conference in all sports, effective on July 1, 2012.

The New Mexico Lobos and the UTSA Roadrunners have scheduled a 2013-14 home-and-home football series, UTSA announced today.
New Mexico will host UTSA at University Stadium in Albuquerque on August 31, 2013. On October 4, 2014, the Lobos will travel to face the Roadrunners at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The Boise State Broncos and the BYU Cougars have agreed to a 12-year football series, the two schools announced today.
Boise State and BYU originally signed a four-year contract in 2008 for games between 2012 and 2015. The new agreement extends the series out to 2023 for a total of 12 games. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Fresno State Bulldogs have agreed to a home-and-home football series, Tulsa World has reported.

The Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles and the Boise State Broncos have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2012 and 2013, Southern Miss announced Wednesday.
