    TCU Accepts Offer to join the Big East in 2012

    The TCU Horned Frogs have accepted an offer to join the Big East Conference in all sports. TCU will join the league on July 1, 2012.

    Boise State, Ole Miss to face off in 2014 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff

    The Boise State Broncos and the Ole Miss Rebels will face off in the 2014 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff, the schools announced yesterday.

    The game will be played on August 28, 2014 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The two teams were originally scheduled to open the 2011 season in Oxford, but the game was moved so that Boise State could face Georgia in the 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff. Read Full Story »

    Colorado State & UTEP Schedule Home-and-home Football Series

    The Colorado State Rams and the UTEP Miners have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2011 and 2018.

    The series will begin with the Rams of the Mountain West visiting the Sun Bowl in El Paso on October 22, 2011. The series finale will take place in Fort Collins at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium on September 8, 2018. Read Full Story »

    Nevada Wolf Pack complete 2011 Non-conference Football Schedule

    The Nevada Wolf Pack have completed their 2011 non-conference football schedule with the addition of a game at the Boise State Broncos.

    Nevada opens the 2011 season at home on September 3 against the New Mexico Lobos and then travel to face the Oregon Ducks on September 10.  Read Full Story »

    Boise State announces 2011 Non-conference Football Schedule

    The Boise State Broncos have announced their 2011 non-conference football schedule with the addition of games against Fresno State and Nevada.

    Boise State will open the 2011 season at Ole Miss on September 3. The Broncos will also travel to Toledo (09/17) before hosting Tulsa (09/24) and Nevada (10/01). Their final non-conference game of 2011 will be at Fresno State on October 8. Read Full Story »

    Boise State, Michigan State Schedule 3-Game Football Series

    The Boise State Broncos and the Michigan State Spartans have scheduled a three-game football series for 2012, 2022 and 2023, MSU announced yesterday.

    UNLV Rebels add Southern Utah to 2011 Football Schedule

    The UNLV Rebels of the Mountain West Conference have added the Southern Utah Thunderbirds to their 2011 football schedule, LVRJ.com has reported.

    UNLV will host Southern Utah at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas on September 24, 2011. The Thunderbirds are a member of the Great West Football Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision. Read Full Story »

    BYU, Georgia Tech Schedule 4-Game Home-and-home Football Series

    The BYU Cougars and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have scheduled a four-game home-and-home football series, BYU announced today.

    BYU, Utah Announce 2011-12 Home-and-home Football Series

    The BYU Cougars and the Utah Utes have agreed to a home-and-home football series taking place during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, BYU Athletics Director Tom Holmoe announced Thursday.

    The series will begin when Utah visits LaVell Edwards Stadium on September 17, 2011. The series finale will take place on September 15, 2012 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Read Full Story »

    The Utah Utes and the Boise State Broncos have canceled their 2011-2013 football series, Utah Athletic Director Chris Hill announced Thursday.

    The Air Force Falcons and the Iowa State Cyclones have canceled their previously scheduled 2013-2014 home-and-home football series, the Colorado Springs Gazette has reported.

    The Air Force Falcons of the Mountain West Conference and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, an FBS Independent school, have agreed to a home-and-home football series starting with the 2011 season.

    West Virginia to play BYU at FedEx Field in 2016

    The West Virginia Mountaineers will take on the BYU Cougars in a non-conference game at FedEx Field, West Virginia has announced.

    The BYU Cougars have announced that they will leave the Mountain West for the 2011-12 season and become an independent in football, while joining the WCC for other sports.
