The Arizona Wildcats and the Hawaii Warriors will play a home-and-home football series in 2019 and 2020, both schools announced this afternoon.
Arizona will travel to face Hawaii at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on Aug. 31, 2019. The Wildcats will then host the Warriors at Arizona Stadium in Tucson on Sept. 5, 2020 to complete the two-game series. Read Full Story »
The 2013 Boise State at BYU football game has changed dates again. The Broncos will now travel to face the Cougars on September 21, 2013.
Boise State and BYU were initially set to meet in Provo on Sept. 7, 2013. But after Boise State signed a home-and-home series with Washington in January 2011, the game was moved to Sept. 21. Read Full Story »
The 2013 Boise State at Washington football game has been moved to August 31, both schools announced today.
We first reported on the likelihood of the move on Friday after UT Martin moved their game against Boise State to September 7, which was the date that Boise State and Washington were scheduled to play.
Washington’s release stated that the game was moved because “Aug. 31 was deemed a more advantageous date for both programs.” Read Full Story »
The date of the 2013 UT Martin at Boise State football game has moved to September 7, according to UTM’s official website.
We first reported the Boise State-UT Martin match-up in February and the date was initially set for Sept. 21, 2013. To date, neither school has made an official announcement for the game.

The Wyoming Cowboys have updated their future non-conference football schedules via their 2012 football prospectus.
One notable change is to the dates of their home-and-home series with the Oregon Ducks. Wyoming was initially slated to travel to Oregon on Sept. 20, 2014, but will now make the trip two weeks earlier on Sept. 6.
Oregon will make the return trip to War Memorial Stadium in Laramie on Sept. 16, 2017. Read Full Story »
Fresno State, Hawaii, and Nevada are now official members of the Mountain West Conference. Each school officially made the switch from the WAC on Sunday, July 1.
With the addition of these three schools, the Mountain West will have ten football members for the 2012 season. In 2013, San Jose State and Utah State join the MWC while Boise State and San Diego State leave for the Big East. The 2013 BYU at Hawaii football game has changed dates again. The Cougars will now travel to face the Warriors on December 7.
The December 7 date, which is currently listed on Hawaii’s website, was confirmed by UH Director of Media Relations Derek Inouchi. Washington was previously slated to visit Honolulu on that date, but the game was moved to the 2014 season.
Back in 2008, BYU and Hawaii signed a home-and-home agreement and set the 2013 date for Sept. 14. Read Full Story »
The Hawaii Exemption, as it’s commonly known, is a rule enacted by the NCAA that allows Division I football teams that play at Hawaii to schedule a 13th regular-season game. The rule also allows the Warriors to play an extra game each season.
The addition of the 13th game, usually a home game, means extra revenue for those teams which is used to offset travel costs. But teams are not obligated to schedule the extra game. Read Full Story »
Nevada may cancel their 2013 football game against Florida State, FSU athletic director Randy Spetman said on Thursday.
Florida State is currently slated to host Nevada at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on Sept. 21, 2013. The game, which has been on the schedule since 2005, would be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
If Nevada does cancel the game, Spetman says they would owe the Seminoles $600,000. Read Full Story »
NBC and NBC Sports have announced their 2012 college football TV schedule, which features 17 FBS games and 15 FCS games.

The Mountain West announced today that San Jose State and Utah State have accepted invitations to join the conference on July 1, 2013.
The addition of San Jose State and Utah State brings the total number of football members in the MWC to 10. The others are Air Force, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, UNLV and Wyoming. Read Full Story »

When Navy announced they were joining the Big East in 2015, it was evident that they would have to ditch several non-conference games. That process has begun as a four-game football series with UNLV has been canceled.
Navy and UNLV were scheduled to meet in Las Vegas in 2014 (Oct. 11) and 2017 (Oct. 7) and in Annapolis in 2015 (Sept. 5) and 2016 (Sept. 17). The 2014 game would have been the first ever meeting between the two schools. Read Full Story »
After months of discussions and legal wrangling, it appears “unlikely” that Conference USA and the Mountain West Conference will merge, sources told Brett McMurphy of CBSSports.com.
“There is not much talk about a formal merger of the conferences into one conference entity in the near term, but that is still a future consideration,” a source said.
The two will likely still form some kind of alliance in order to share resources. This will aid in the negotiation of television contracts and non-conference scheduling. Read Full Story »
