The nation’s eyes will once again be treated to images of Touchdown Jesus and fighting leprechauns as #17 Stanford comes to South Bend to tangle with the #7 Fighting Irish. Stanford won a shootout last week with Arizona 54-48, while Notre Dame drubbed the Hurricanes 41-3 in Chicago last Saturday. The last three match ups in this rivalry resulted in wins for Stanford, but Notre Dame is firing on all cylinders and ready to out muscle the Cardinal and keep their national championship hopes alive. Georgia State has added two more games to their future football schedules, the school announced this afternoon. The Panthers will travel to Alabama in 2013 and Oregon in 2015.
Alabama will welcome Georgia State to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 5, 2013. The Crimson Tide will pay the Panthers a $700,000 guarantee.

Top match-ups include Alabama at Missouri, Oklahoma vs. Texas (at Dallas, TX), South Carolina at LSU, West Virginia at Texas Tech, USC at Washington, TCU at Baylor, and Texas A&M vs. Louisiana Tech (at Shreveport, LA).

The USC Trojans will open the 2014 season against the Fresno State Bulldogs, both schools announced on Monday.
USC will host Fresno State at Los Angeles Coliseum on Aug. 30, 2014. This will be the third meeting between the two schools, although USC vacated their 2005 win against the Bulldogs due to NCAA sanctions. Fresno State won the only other contest 24-7 in the 1992 Freedom Bowl.

Wyoming and Washington State have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2015 and 2018, both schools have announced.
Washington State will host the first game of the series at Martin Stadium in Pullman on Sept. 12, 2015. The final game will be played on Sept. 1, 2018 at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.

The Oregon Ducks have completed their 2013 non-conference football schedule with the addition of Nicholls State, The Register Guard has reported.
Nicholls State will visit Autzen Stadium for both schools’ season opener on Aug. 31, 2013. UO and NSU have never met in football.

Nicholls State has postponed their 2012 season-opener at Oregon State due to damage caused by Hurricane Isaac.
The game was set for Saturday, Sept. 1 and was to be televised by the Pac-12 Network at 12 p.m. PT. A makeup date for the game has not been announced.

The Washington Huskies have added the Montana Grizzlies to their 2017 football schedule, UW announced on Friday.
Washington will host Montana at Husky Stadium on September 2, 2017. It will mark the 18th time that the Grizzlies have traveled to Seattle.

Oregon will host Eastern Washington at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on September 5, 2015. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

The Big Ten Conference announced today that the Big Ten and Pac-12 have suspended their future scheduling agreement for football and all other sports.
Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany said that the Pac-12’s nine-game conference schedule and “previous non-conference commitments” made the task of matching up 24 teams across two conferences “too difficult.”

The Arizona Wildcats and the Hawaii Warriors will play a home-and-home football series in 2019 and 2020, both schools announced this afternoon.

At a media luncheon today, Utah athletics director Chris Hill told reporters that the Utes will face BYU in Provo in 2013 and in Salt Lake City in 2016.
The two schools have played every year since 1946, but the future of the series has been in jeopardy ever since Utah joined the Pac-12.

The 2013 Boise State at Washington football game has been moved to August 31, both schools announced today.
We first reported on the likelihood of the move on Friday after UT Martin moved their game against Boise State to September 7, which was the date that Boise State and Washington were scheduled to play.
