The Pac-10 conference, which will become the Pac-12 in 2011, has announced their new divisions and their championship game format/site.
The new divisions in the Pac-12 will be called the North and South. The North Division will include California, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington and Washington State. The South Division includes Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, UCLA, USC, and Utah in the South. Read Full Story »
The Georgia Bulldogs and the Oregon Ducks have canceled their 2015-16 home-and-home football series, the Athens Banner-Herald has reported.
The series was scheduled back in 2006. Georgia was to play at Oregon on September 5, 2015 and would have hosted Oregon in Athens on September 10, 2016. Read Full Story »
The Iowa State Cyclones and the Utah Utes have canceled their 2011 football game (source). The game was to be played at Utah on Thursday, September 1, 2011.

The Colorado Buffaloes have announced that they will join the Pacific 12 Conference for the 2011 football season. They will exit the Big 12 after this season and will forfeit $6,863,000 in revenue from the conference.
Utah will also join the former Pac-10 in 2011 which means the conference, to be named the Pac-12, will have 12 teams and will be eligible for a conference championship game. Read Full Story »
The Hawaii Warriors have added the Tulane Green Wave of Conference USA to their 2011 football schedule. The game will be played on November 26, 2011 at Aloha Stadium.

The LSU Tigers and the Oregon Ducks will open the 2011 football season at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, LSU has announced.

Two of the top powers in college football, the USC Trojans and Texas Longhorns, have announced a home-and-home series which will start in 2017.
The Texas Longhorns will meet the USC Trojans on September 16, 2017 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to begin the series. The return game will take place on September 15, 2018 at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin to complete the series. Read Full Story »
The Colorado Buffaloes and Ohio State Buckeyes are working on a deal to play in 2011, DailyCamera.com has reported. The game would be played at Ohio Stadium, also known as “The Horseshoe.”
This would be a single game rather than a home-and-home series, meaning Ohio State would not play in Boulder. The payout that Colorado would receive is reported to be around $2 million. Read Full Story »

The Pac-10 has announced that they will be named the Pac-12 once Colorado and Utah join the conference. They also unveiled a new logo (pictured at right). The number will be changed to 12 in the future.

The Tennessee Volunteers have declined an offer to play the USC Trojans in the 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
Lane Kiffin, who left for USC after only one season as the head coach at Tennessee, lobbied hard for the game. But the Volunteers turned down the offer stating that they couldn’t make the game work with their schedule. Read Full Story »
The Big 12, Mountain West and WAC future football schedules have been updated. Updates reflect the recent conference changes by Boise State, Colorado, Nebraska and Utah.
Boise State is heading to the Mountain West in July of 2011. From 2011 forward, their WAC opponents have been removed from their schedules, and Boise State has been removed from all of the WAC future schedules. The Broncos won’t be added to any Mountain West schedules until the conference announces their new scheduling format. Read Full Story »
The season opener for both the Hawaii Warriors and the USC Trojans will be played as scheduled, the NCAA has announced. The two teams will meet in Honolulu on Thursday, September 2, 2010 (11:00 p.m. ET – ESPN).
Recent sanctions against USC had put the game in possible jeopardy. Since they are now on probation, the Trojans are prohibited from scheduling a 13th game at Hawaii, as the NCAA allows under the Hawaii Exemption. Read Full Story »
