    2013 Pac-12 Football Helmet Schedule

    Pac-12The 2013 Pac-12 Football Helmet Schedule is now available. The schedule, which is in PDF format, features the team helmets, date, and opponent for each Pac-12 team.

    All 12 Pac-12 football schedules were officially released today. The season begins on Thursday, Aug. 29 when USC travels to Hawaii and Utah hosts Utah State. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 7 with USC hosting Washington State.

    If you have an iPhone or an iPad, you can save the schedule to your device by using the iBooks application. Simply open the PDF schedule and then press the button that says “Open in iBooks.” The app will automatically save the document to your PDF library. Read Full Story »

    2013 Pac-12 Football Schedules Announced

    Pac-12The Pac-12 officially announced their 2013 football schedules today. Conference play begins on Saturday, Sept. 7.

    Prominent non-conference games in 2013 include Wisconsin at Arizona State, Arizona State vs. Notre Dame (at Cowboys Stadium), Ohio State at California, Colorado vs. Colorado State (at Denver, CO), Tennessee at Oregon, Oregon State at San Diego State, Notre Dame at Stanford, UCLA at Nebraska, USC at Notre Dame, Utah at BYU, Boise State at Washington, and Washington State at Auburn. Read Full Story »

    MAC announces 2013 Football Opponents

    MACThe Mid-American Conference (MAC) has announced the home and road football opponents for the 2013 season.

    The full schedule with dates will be released at a later date. The 2013 Marathon MAC Championship Game will be played at Ford Field in Detroit on either Friday, Dec. 6 or Saturday, Dec. 7. Read Full Story »

    Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl to host first Playoff Semifinals in 2015

    Rose BowlThe Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl will host the first college football playoff semifinals on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, BCS conference commissioners have announced.

    The AT&T Cotton Bowl is said to be the “prohibitive favorite” to host the first national title game, which will feature a match-up between the winners of the two semifinal games. It would be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015. Read Full Story »

    Final 2012 AP & Coaches Top 25 Polls released

    Alabama Crimson TideThe 2012 college football season is complete and the final AP Poll and USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll have been released. Alabama, the 2013 BCS Champion, is the unanimous number one in both polls.

    Oregon comes in at no. 2 in both polls. Ohio State is 3rd in the AP, but is ineligible to be ranked in the Coaches Poll due to NCAA sanctions. Read Full Story »

    Alabama Crimson Tide win 2013 BCS National Championship Game

    Alabama Crimson TideThe Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 42-14 Monday night in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game.

    Alabama (13-1, 7-1 SEC) is the first team to win back-to-back BCS championships and has claimed the BCS title three times in the past four years.

    A.J. McCarron completed 20-of-28 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns and Eddie Lacy, the MVP of the championship game, rushed 20 times for 140 yards and a touchdown. Read Full Story »

    2012-13 College Football Bowl Schedule – Final 3 Games

    BCSIt’s January 5, 2013 and 32 of the 35 college football bowl games have been completed. There are three bowl games remaining on the schedule.

    Today the Ole Miss Rebels of the SEC take on the Pittsburgh Panthers of the Big East in the BBVA Compass Bowl at Legion Field in Birmingham, AL. The game will be televised by ESPN at 1 p.m. ET. Read Full Story »

    New Year’s Day 2013 Bowl Schedule

    BCSIt’s New Year’s Day 2013, the busiest day of the college football bowl season. Six games will be played today, beginning with two games at noon at finishing with the Orange Bowl tonight.

    The first of two games at noon on New Year’s Day is the Heart of Dallas Bowl (noon ET, ESPNU). Purdue of the Big Ten takes on Oklahoma State of the Big 12.     Clear Your Schedule – SEC Bowl Games, 2012-13 (Part 1)

    Alabama Crimson TideJanuary 4, 2006. You may remember the day. Vince Young combined for 467 yards of total offense in the Rose Bowl, including 200 of those yards on 19 rushing attempts. Those 200 yards also netted three rushing touchdowns for Young, who was the game’s offensive MVP. LenDale White also rushed for three touchdowns for USC, then went on to become Young’s teammate in Tennessee before they both flamed out of the NFL. Nine records were set on that day. As it turned out, none of it mattered. USC’s appearance in that game was vacated as part of the punishment for improprieties involving Reggie Bush. Read Full Story »

    Boise State Broncos to stay in Mountain West Conference

    Boise StateThe Boise State Broncos will stay in the Mountain West Conference rather than join the Big East Conference, the MWC announced today.

    Boise State will remain a member of the MWC in all sports effective immediately. The Broncos were set to join the Big East on July 1, 2013.

    “Without question, conference affiliation has been an odyssey for Boise State, with all the unexpected turns and changes that term suggests,” stated Boise State University president Robert Kustra. Read Full Story »
