    Arkansas-Missouri, South Carolina-Texas A&M to become permanent SEC Rivals?

    SECAlthough the SEC hasn’t made an official announcement, it appears that Arkansas-Missouri and South Carolina-Texas A&M will become permanent cross-division rivals in football.

    South Carolina president Harris Pastides told ABC Columbia that Texas A&M is their “likely” option for a permanent cross-division rival.

    Missouri Tigers announce 2012 Football Schedule

    Missouri TigersThe Missouri Tigers have announced their 2012 football schedule, which was completed today with the addition of a home game against the Syracuse Orange.

    The 2012 season will be the first for Missouri in the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers, who were accepted into the SEC on Nov. 6, have competed in the Big 12 since its inception in 1996. Read Full Story »

    No Decision Made on Future SEC Football Schedules

    SECOn Wednesday, SEC athletic directors met in Nashville to discuss, among other things, future SEC football schedules. No decision was made on a scheduling model for 2013 and beyond.

    There are several scheduling concerns that the SEC must address moving forward. Chief among them is whether to continue with an eight-game conference schedule or move to a nine-game slate. Read Full Story »

    Texas A&M to host Arkansas in 2012

    Texas A&MArkansasThe Texas A&M Aggies will host the Arkansas Razorbacks in 2012, A&M athletics director Bill Byrne said on Saturday.

    The schools will meet at Kyle Field on Sept. 29, 2012 and then play at Arkansas in 2013. In 2014, the game will return to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Read Full Story »

    Arkansas RazorbacksThe Arkansas Razorbacks have completed their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Rutgers, Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M.

    RutgersThe Arkansas Razorbacks and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights have scheduled a 2012-13 home-and-home football series, the schools announced today.

    Arkansas will host Rutgers at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium in Fayetteville on Sept. 22, 2012. On Sept. 21, 2013, the Razorbacks will travel to face the Scarlet Knights at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, NJ. Read Full Story »

    Auburn TigersThe Auburn Tigers have finalized their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Clemson, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M.

    Chick-fil-A Kickoff GameThe 2012 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game doubleheader dates have been set, the Chick-fil-A Bowl announced today. It will mark the first time that two BCS games have been played back-to-back in the same venue.

    Memphis discussing series with Vanderbilt, has verbals with Kansas & Ole Miss

    Memphis TigersThe Memphis Tigers are in discussions to play a future football series against the Vanderbilt Commodores, The Commercial Appeal has reported. Memphis also has verbal agreements to play Kansas and Ole Miss.

    Memphis Athletics Director R.C. Johnson said that the Tigers could play Vanderbilt as early as 2013 if one of their currently scheduled non-conference opponents cancels. Those opponents are Arkansas State, Duke, Louisville and Middle Tennessee. Read Full Story »
