Speaking to 790 The Zone today, Clemson athletics director Terry Don Phillips said he “absolutely” expects the Tigers to play their future home-and-home football series against Georgia.
Last week, it was reported that Clemson was on the verge of canceling the series which is scheduled for 2013 at Clemson and 2014 at Georgia. The LSU Tigers and the Tulane Green Wave are in discussions for a possible game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in 2013, The Times Picayune has reported.
The game could be the season opener for both schools, although details are still being worked out. The two schools, separated by only about 80 miles, haven’t met since a 42-0 LSU win in 2009. The Tigers lead the overall series 69-22-7. Read Full Story »
Although the SEC hasn’t made an official announcement, it appears that Arkansas-Missouri and South Carolina-Texas A&M will become permanent cross-division rivals in football.
South Carolina president Harris Pastides told ABC Columbia that Texas A&M is their “likely” option for a permanent cross-division rival.

The Ole Miss Rebels will open the 2015 season at home against the UT Martin Skyhawks, according to UTM’s official website.
