The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and the BYU Cougars have signed a home-and-home football series for 2013 and 2014, The Tennessean has reported.
Middle Tennessee will travel to face BYU at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo in 2013. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Blue Raiders will then host the Cougars at Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro in 2014. Read Full Story »Read Full Story »
Texas Tech will host Texas State in 2013 and will face UTEP in a home-and-home series in 2014 and 2015, Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt told the Avalanche Journal.
No specific dates for the three games were mentioned. A representative of Texas Tech told us that currently there are “no dates yet for release.”

The Sun Belt Conference will begin playing a nine-game football schedule in 2015, according to the future schedules posted by Western Kentucky.
Back in June, Sun Belt commissioner Karl Benson stated that the conference would likely move to a nine-game schedule. “There’s a chance we could get to nine games as early as 2014 but my guess would be 2015,” Benson said. Read Full Story »Read Full Story »
The Florida International Golden Panthers will host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in 2013 and 2014, FIU announced today.
Both games will be played at FIU Stadium on Sept. 14, 2013 and Sept. 6, 2014. The two schools played twice when FIU was in Division I-AA. Bethune-Cookman won both games, 31-0 in 2002 and 24-14 in 2003.

The UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns have completed their 2013 non-conference football schedule, The Advertiser has reported.
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns will open the 2013 season at Arkansas on Aug. 31. The game could be played in either Little Rock or Fayetteville, UL Lafayette athletic director Scott Farmer said.

Due to Tropical Storm Isaac, South Alabama has moved their season-opener against UTSA to Saturday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. CT. The game was initially slated for Thursday night.

Navy and South Alabama have mutually agreed to cancel their football games in 2015 and 2016, USA assistant athletic director Haven Fields confirmed today.
The Midshipmen and the Jaguars agreed to a four-game, home-and-home football series back in 2008, with games slated each season from 2013 through 2016.

The Arkansas State Red Wolves will play at the Auburn Tigers in 2013, ASU announced today.
Arkansas State will travel to Jordan Hare Stadium on Sept. 7, 2013. It will be the third meeting between these two schools in the last seven years. Auburn leads the series 2-0 after wins in 2006 (27-0) and 2010 (52-26).

Conference USA announced today that they are adding five schools for the 2013 season. Joining C-USA are Charlotte, Florida International, Louisiana Tech, North Texas and UTSA.

The Georgia State Panthers will host Charlotte in 2015 and have had discussions for games against two FBS schools, the AJC has reported.

The Sun Belt Conference announced today that the Texas State Bobcats will officially join the league on July 1, 2013.
Texas State is currently an FCS Independent and becomes a member of the FBS when they join the WAC on July 1, 2012.

The Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Atlantic Owls have scheduled a three-game football series for 2013, 2015 and 2016, the schools announced today.
