The Florida International Golden Panthers and the Maryland Terrapins have scheduled a 2013 and 2016 home-and-home football series, FIU announced today.
Maryland will host the first game of the series at Byrd Stadium in College Park on Aug. 31, 2013, which will be the season-opener for both schools. FIU will host the second game of the series at FIU Stadium in Miami on Sept. 10, 2016.
Maryland leads the overall series against FIU 3-0 after wins in 2006, 2007, and 2010.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have scheduled a 2017 and 2018 home-and-home football series against the Marshall Thundering Herd, WKU athletic director Todd Stewart announced on Monday.
Western Kentucky will host Marshall in the first game of the series at Houchens Industries – L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green in 2017. In the second and final game of the series in 2018, Marshall will host the WKU at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington. Read Full Story »
Georgia State has added two more games to their future football schedules, the school announced this afternoon. The Panthers will travel to Alabama in 2013 and Oregon in 2015.
Alabama will welcome Georgia State to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 5, 2013. The Crimson Tide will pay the Panthers a $700,000 guarantee.
The game will be the second meeting between the two schools. GSU played at Alabama in their inaugural season back in 2010 and fell to the Tide 63-7. Read Full Story »

ULM has added LSU to their 2014 football schedule, the Warhawks announced today.
ULM will travel to face LSU at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on Sept. 6, 2014. The game will be only the third ever meeting between the two schools, which are separated by about 187 miles.
The Tigers lead the overall series 2-0 after a 49-7 win in 2003 and 51-0 in 2010. Both games were played in Baton Rouge. Read Full Story »
The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and the BYU Cougars have signed a home-and-home football series for 2013 and 2014, The Tennessean has reported.
Middle Tennessee will travel to face BYU at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo in 2013. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Blue Raiders will then host the Cougars at Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro in 2014. Read Full Story »
Texas Tech will host Texas State in 2013 and will face UTEP in a home-and-home series in 2014 and 2015, Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt told the Avalanche Journal.
No specific dates for the three games were mentioned. A representative of Texas Tech told us that currently there are “no dates yet for release.”

The Sun Belt Conference will begin playing a nine-game football schedule in 2015, according to the future schedules posted by Western Kentucky.
Back in June, Sun Belt commissioner Karl Benson stated that the conference would likely move to a nine-game schedule. “There’s a chance we could get to nine games as early as 2014 but my guess would be 2015,” Benson said. Read Full Story »

Both games will be played at FIU Stadium on Sept. 14, 2013 and Sept. 6, 2014. The two schools played twice when FIU was in Division I-AA. Bethune-Cookman won both games, 31-0 in 2002 and 24-14 in 2003.

The UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns have completed their 2013 non-conference football schedule, The Advertiser has reported.
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns will open the 2013 season at Arkansas on Aug. 31. The game could be played in either Little Rock or Fayetteville, UL Lafayette athletic director Scott Farmer said.
The Cajuns are 0-4 all-time against the Razorbacks, but most of the games have been competitive. UL Lafayette lost 9-7 in 1991, 24-13 in 1995, 38-17 in 1998, and 24-17 in 2002. Read Full Story »
Due to Tropical Storm Isaac, South Alabama has moved their season-opener against UTSA to Saturday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. CT. The game was initially slated for Thursday night.

Navy and South Alabama have mutually agreed to cancel their football games in 2015 and 2016, USA assistant athletic director Haven Fields confirmed today.
The Midshipmen and the Jaguars agreed to a four-game, home-and-home football series back in 2008, with games slated each season from 2013 through 2016.

Arkansas State will travel to Jordan Hare Stadium on Sept. 7, 2013. It will be the third meeting between these two schools in the last seven years. Auburn leads the series 2-0 after wins in 2006 (27-0) and 2010 (52-26).
