    Hawaii Warriors to join Mountain West for Football in 2012

    The Hawaii Warriors will join the Mountain West Conference in football on July 1, 2012, the school announced today. All other Warrior sports will become a member of the Big West Conference.

    Hawaii is the fourth school to leave the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) this year. Boise State will join the MWC in 2011, while Fresno State and Nevada will join in 2012.Read Full Story »

    Navy, Texas State Schedule 2012 & 2015 Home-and-home Football Series

    The Navy Midshipmen and the Texas State Bobcats have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2012 & 2015, the Bobcats have announced. The 2012 game will be the first ever between the two schools.

    Navy will host Texas State at Navy-Marin Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis on November 17, 2012. The Midshipmen will travel to face the Bobcats at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos on September 19, 2015.Read Full Story »

    Wyoming, Texas State Schedule 2011 & 2013 Home-and-home Football Series

    The Wyoming Cowboys and the Texas State Bobcats have scheduled a 2011-13 home-and-home football series, Wyoming has announced. The 2011 contest will be the first ever match up between the two schools.

    Wyoming will host Texas State at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, on September 10, 2011. The Cowboys will travel to face the Bobcats at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos on September 28, 2013.Read Full Story »

    Louisiana Tech, South Alabama Schedule 2017-18 Home-and-home Football Series

    The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the South Alabama Jaguars have scheduled a 2017-18 home-and-home football series, Tech has announced. The 2017 game will be the first between the two schools.

    Louisiana Tech will host South Alabama at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston on September 30, 2017. The Bulldogs will travel to face the Jaguars at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile on September 1, 2018.Read Full Story »

    Boise State and Georgia in the 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff

    The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Boise State Broncos in the 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff. The game is held annually on the first weekend of the season at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

    Georgia was scheduled to open the 2011 season at home on September 3 against Louisville, but that game has been canceled. Georgia’s 2012 game at Louisville has also been canceled, but the schools will reportedly work to sign a new series in the future.Read Full Story »

    WAC to add Texas State and UTSA for Football in 2012

    The WAC announced yesterday that they will add the Texas State Bobcats and the UTSA Roadrunners for football in 2012. Both schools will join effective July 1, 2012.

    Texas State and UTSA are currently members of the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivison (FCS). The Denver Pioneers have also accepted an invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference, but they do not field a football team.Read Full Story »

    Nevada Wolf Pack complete 2011 Non-conference Football Schedule

    The Nevada Wolf Pack have completed their 2011 non-conference football schedule with the addition of a game at the Boise State Broncos.

    Boise State announces 2011 Non-conference Football Schedule

    The Boise State Broncos have announced their 2011 non-conference football schedule with the addition of games against Fresno State and Nevada.

    Boise State will open the 2011 season at Ole Miss on September 3. The Broncos will also travel to Toledo (09/17) before hosting Tulsa (09/24) and Nevada (10/01). Their final non-conference game of 2011 will be at Fresno State on October 8.Read Full Story »

    The Utah Utes and the Boise State Broncos have canceled their 2011-2013 football series, Utah Athletic Director Chris Hill announced Thursday.

    Hawaii adds Tulane to 2011 Football Schedule

    The Hawaii Warriors have added the Tulane Green Wave of Conference USA to their 2011 football schedule. The game will be played on November 26, 2011 at Aloha Stadium.

    Tulane replaces a home game with Oregon State. The Oregon State at Hawaii series has been pushed back to September 7, 2013 at Oregon State and September 6, 2014 at Hawaii.Read Full Story »

    The BYU Cougars have scheduled future football games against five WAC schools for 2011 and 2012. The games are part of a scheduling agreement with BYU and the WAC.

    The BYU Cougars have announced that they will leave the Mountain West for the 2011-12 season and become an independent in football, while joining the WCC for other sports.
