RUtgers should leave the Big Ten, where they will never be competitive and play the likes of Buffalo and join the MAC. Their 120 years of football futility combined with their multi million dollar losses each year in the athletic budget cannot go on forever. It is high time that some sense of reality is restored to their athletic vision. With this years schedule and their trip to Washington to open the season, I am confident that they will lose another 4-5 games by at least 3-6 touchdowns.

Rutgers isn’t getting a full share of the B1G revenue yet, when that kicks in it’ll really help

Any news on a possible Princeton Rutgers matchup in 2019 which would be the 150th anniversary of the first college football game. Rutgers won 6-4 in 1869, then lost the next 33 straight to Princeton

I doubt that would ever happen since Princeton is an Ivy League school but that would be cool, for old time sake.

      Army with two FCS opponents.

Should have called either North Carolina or Boston College who also have two FCS opponents.

      Army won’t be bowling again.

When a FBS program plays two FCS programs, one of the wins does not qualify as a win per bowl eligibility. So both NC and BC will likely need to win seven games to get bowl eligible. Too bad they don;t play each other to determine who gets that extra needed win.

On a related note, UMass and Hawaii might end up dropping football. So P5’s might not have those two programs available as go-to’s when having scheduling issues.

I figure we’ll see a few more programs decide to drop football or at least drop out of the FBS. And sooner than later.

Pretty decent future OOC’s They have atleast 1 P5 and a decent midmajor, like ECU and some years with 2 P5’s and a decent mid major. Still have some FCS games with Liberty and Furman however. Love to see conferences phase out the FCS games like the B10 is doing.

Liberty’s at least a regular FCS playoff team now. And a likely FBS Sun Belt whenever they make their application. Unless James Madison decides to do that first. (Then again, maybe both will go Sun Belt, if C-USA grabs another Sun Belt school to replace UAB.)

Why were the Lobos unable to schedule the two Montana schools or Northern Colorado from the Big Sky? Price too high?

North Dakota State needs a FBS opponent for 2015. The Bison have a 9/26 opening. Or is everyone afraid to play the Bison? Even if it is a home game.

      Maybe Air Force?

Incarnate Word? Aren’t they in the same conference as the United Sisters of the Poor? What are we talking about here? I’ve heard of scheduling patsy’s but Incarnate Word – riduculous!!
