Western Carolina stays pissed that ASU won’t schedule them as the token FCS. ASU 59 WCU 18 TIE 1.

I doubt it is App not willing but WCU needing more money to keep there program afloat than App is willing and can afford to pay.

Savannah State is the worst FCS team playing……seen better high school teams

Sometimes you get what you can get. Akron cancelled on us for their own needs of needing another home game. A shame we have to drop to the level of Savannah State but there are only so many teams that had an open date that weekend. If App was SEC rich we could have bought out another game that was more to App’s liking and made another school scramble, but App is not SEC rich. Though you point about how bad Savannah State is, is spot on.

Why was the amount of the Elon contract listed and SSU contract not listed. Does it mean that the contract not done, yet confirmed that there will be a contract. Bad reporting.

The Savannah State game was reported by the Winston-Salem Journal. They didn’t specify a dollar amount.

The Elon game was reported by us after we obtained the contract. App State did not send us a contract for the Savannah State game, so it’s obviously not finalized or signed yet.

these could be the only Sun Belt teams bowling this season…Georgia State’s chances are not good and neither are South Alabama’s

Anyone know the payout from the camellia bowl?

Wow, a GSU QB actually droping back for a pass!

Good for the Commish to get these settled. More opportunity for school’s fans to travel/attend than waiting until a week from now and a bit more than a week before the games. Another big “miss” with these ESPN-only-interested bowls: they are held less than two weeks following the end of the season (except Army/Navy?).

Someone failed to list the Bowl Game for the Georgia Bulldogs. They have been invited and accepted to play in the Toilet Bowl in Flushing, ohio.

    6. They shoot students at South.

South may get one at 5-7,if they lose their last game.

There was a time when the Hurricanes would play anyone anywhere….I am not sure this is what they had in mind.

The attendance @ this game beat any other Miami home game!

I like this match-up. It may not be the most appealing match-up ever, but it will be a really good game. This is a good sign for for App State. Maybe not so good for Miami with the scheduling, but this is a win-win for both teams.

Miami makes more money doing a home and home with a Sun Belt opponent? Sad….

Sad? No, sad will be the state of the hurricane fans when App State lays the smack down on the U….

This is called “Miami AD Blake James is building goodwill in areas around the country which have mostly forgotten about U football.”
For recruiting purposes, playing in North Carolina, Arkansas, and Ohio isn’t a bad move at all. NC high school football is hugely competitive. Why yield all these recruits to UNC, NCSU, WFU, Duke and Clemson? Arkansas is fertile ground, too. There are only two Div I colleges to compete against, UAF and ASU. Ohio is always good call–Miami used to attract a lot of ballers from the Midwest and doesn’t much anymore.. .and playing Toledo as opposed to tOSU means a likelier win.

Miami will probably have a lot of fans at this game. It is a little known secret that most rich south Florida Floridians have summer homes in the North Carolina mountains.
I just wish that home and home with Southern Miss would happen. Florida raider Louisville has increased their recruiting in Mississippi the last few years so it would make since for Miami to do the same. At least it makes more since than playing Arkansas State in Jonesboro. Mississippi State won’t even do that!
