Guess Washington already foresaw needing to up future schedules that the CFP just held against them.

      • JackStriker
        November 3, 2016 at 5:52 pm

They already had Michigan scheduled for 2020 and 2021 and they couldn’t foresee the dumpster fire Rutgers has become eight years ago when they scheduled the series.

More like striking while the iron is hot.

Hey, it is better than two Sun Belt teams and an FCS in late November.

        November 4, 2016 at 9:43 am

Agreed! Striking while the iron is hot, now that Washington has a good team they are being asked to play in an neutral site game of course against an SEC team as usual. Washington had & has their fair share of smaller teams to play, they will not miss out.

Just another case of the SEC scheduling a win out-of-conference.

Seriously, the SEC needs to play tougher competition… Playing Pac-12 and Big Ten teams are just wins… they need more competition, like perhaps the NFC South.

Joe, you somehow manage to get dumber by the post.

    2017 SEC Football Schedule Announced

      3 straight SEC West road games for Auburn…@ LSU, @ Arkansas & @Texas A&M. That’s harsh

      • sec4me number 1
        November 19, 2016 at 11:00 pm

Texas A&M – the refs need to be impartial – instead the home games played in Texas are determined by the referees…needs addressed before 2017 season, as it is, its beneath SEC sportsmanship and honor.

I would guess CBS starts out 2017 in either Atlanta or Arlington but ESPN sure would love both of them

Sissy Tennessee playing MORE sissy schools. WHAT A HOOT.

Probably ought to put an asterisk by the Florida/LSU game – “if played”.

Why does Alabama not ever play some of the tougher teams in the sec eastern division, like Georgia and Florida

Kentucky will play for sec championship in20017!!!

It’s great that we’re scheduling two historic universities to our future schedule (Alabama A&M this year, and Alabama State in 2018). Great for our universities. But Alabama just will not follow Auburn’s path. So happy to have these two schools come down to the plains.

      July 9, 2016 at 6:09 pm

Auburn manages to find another FCS program to pay but still can’t quite squeeze 1-A Troy on its schedule. Hmmm. Keep playing every other team in our conference, Tigers, but us.

      • David
        July 10, 2016 at 4:17 pm

There’s a long agreement that Troy and Auburn don’t play. We cover the same section of the state, and many families have graduates and alliances with both universities. Auburn has played Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, Samford, and UAB regularly enough… so if someone wants to yammer on, head for rammer bammer and ask them who in-state they’ve been playing and get back to us.

      • Michael Whitfield
        July 13, 2016 at 5:52 pm

Probably Univ of South Alabama (Mobile) & UAB (2017) would gladly adjust their schedules to play in Jordan Stadium every year of two. I bet they would comply schedule wise with the Univ in Tuscaloosa as well.

        July 14, 2016 at 9:50 am

@David – that is an absurdly weak argument. That’s like saying Michigan/Michigan State should never play Eastern Michigan because they’re in their backyard, but MSU actually had a “Celebrate the State” 3-for-1 with the MAC schools (that EMU later backed out of, but CMU and WMU followed through).

        August 5, 2016 at 1:34 am

I’ve heard Troy does not want to play Auburn for many of the reasons David said. A Troy booster once said “the second Troy runs onto Jordan-Hare you hate us”. Troy does not want that. South and UAB are all in, they don’t care.

      • gator HATER!
        August 5, 2016 at 1:42 am

Michael W. It is Jordan-Hare (pronounced Jerdun-Hare) and the last time the Bloody Tide played an in state school other than Auburn was Samford in the 1940’s……it ain’t gonna happen. The Tide will not share the wealth with in state schools…EVER

      July 10, 2016 at 9:23 pm

When I first saw this headline, I read it hastily and read it as “Auburn adds Alabama to 2020 football schedule”, and thought wow, shocker there!

    5. Rich
      July 10, 2016 at 9:40 pm

The Auburn guy is right. Alabama will not schedule any other teams from within the state, I-A or I-AA.

      • Michael Whitfield
        July 13, 2016 at 5:40 pm

I agree. It does seem odd that other than the Iron Bowl every year vs Auburn, the Tide does not play any other Div 1 or FCS school in the state. Don’t know about the Tide scheduling the Trojans of Troy Univ, but seems like a natural rival would be the sister school in Birmingham (UAB) currently in hiatus from football until 2017. The Blazers could use the huge revenue & the Tide would get a probable victory every year.

        August 5, 2016 at 1:30 am

If Auburn was not in the SEC the “We are better than everyone” Bloody Tide wouldn’t play them

      • gator HATER!
        August 5, 2016 at 1:50 am

Mike how much do you know about Alabama? They are not a team player. Hell they count a national title in a season they lost to Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. They finished 19th in the AP (1941). Once again they lost to VANDERBILT and claim the National Title!!!!! This is not normal

    6. chipmunk
      July 22, 2016 at 9:46 am

Which one of these teams were helping Alabama build their history back in the 20,s 30,s and 40,s. Why is it up to Alabama to support these teams and try and raise their status. Alabama needs only to keep their national profile up and this is not done by being a free handout for other schools in the state. After building Auburn up over the years all they every get is Auburn people trying to tear Alabama down.

This used to be a really good series in the 80’s. Better than ULM which seems to be Auburn’s permanent OOC game.

      July 7, 2016 at 2:35 pm

When are they going to schedule South Alabama?

      • reel butt
        July 9, 2016 at 7:48 am

hopefully never we already own them in baseball why humiliate them further i can see it now aubun vs south alabama in football 2020 42-6 auburn over south Alabama the final. next day south Alabama shuts down its football program with this statement “we hardly ever beat them in baseball. now we know we can’t beat them in football if we played auburn 8 straight times auburn would blow us out in all 8 meetings”

    3. winston
      July 9, 2016 at 8:08 am

Own them in Baseball? have you even watched any of the meetings we’ve had with them in baseball? yes we’ve beaten them here and there. but they’ve also had their fair share of wins against us. think before yo speak bud and what does beating them in baseball have to do with football? that’s just like saying we beat alabama in basketball so we should beat them in football. completely different sports.

i would like for Auburn to play
USA. Better than ULM or any FCS team. Do a 5 game deal with 1 game in Mobile and 4 in Auburn. Do the same with UAB. As for Troy….NEVER

Very nice…It will be great to see Auburn run into Beaver Stadium and Penn State into Jordan-Hare. Not the same seeing college teams at Cowboys Stadium or the Georgia Dome.

“The Bulls defeated Penn State 10-0 in 1900, before falling to the Nittany Lions in 2017 and 2015.”
