Good to know Ga. State will “renovate” Turner Field for their own use….capacity to be approx. 30K. http://www.myajc.com/news/news/local-govt-politics/georgia-state-football-at-turner-field-in-17-no-is/nsN9h/
Less than 12,000 fan is still going to make that place look half empty.
WMU needs to get on the ball with their future scheduling, not much out there. When you look at CMU they’ve got at least 2 P5 schools until 2020 (gonna get paaaaaaid in 2017).
will ESPN game-day be there?
UNC has to be the worst team around when it comes to non-conference scheduling.
UNC’s got some pretty decent OOC’s. GSU is on the rise.
On the rise from what?
…From being non-existent. Do you know anything about their football program???
UNC, Pitt, Clemson, and GT are the only four ACC schools to play ten P5 opponents in both 2015 and 2016. I get that the Heels are playing TWO FCS schools in both seasons, but there are reasons that those things happened. Most schools play the one…getting stuck with the second is bad especially for two years in a row. But again, there are reasons for the late additions. All four of those schools play ten P5 opponents again in 2017. Probably four of the only schools in America who do this. I would never criticize Clemson or GT for the way they schedule in the OOC, yet inevitably some knucklehead also mentions the FCS game that each plays each year as it that makes them special or that it negates the ten LOSEABLE games that are on the schedule. It’s mind-numbingly obtuse. Social media will be the downfall of mankind…
Good move for Vanderbilt to play at Georgia St in ATL, may be can get some recruits. The Commodores have added some nice P5 teams to their schedule, not sure about a 10 year gap in the Purdue game but at least they got them on the schedule.
I seriously doubt that 2029 game gets played, who knows how these leagues/conferences are going to shake out.
No way the GA State-TN State game will be on Sept 2, 2017. That’s the same day as Florida St-Alabama. GA State will probably move their opener to Thursday or Friday like they typically have done in the past.
Georgia State confirms that they will play Tennessee State on September 2, 2017. http://www.georgiastatesports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=12700&ATCLID=210627788
Confirmed for now but subject to change?
