    Thanksgiving Football Schedule 2016

Here’s how I want the actual Thanksgiving holiday to look football wise next year:

12:00 – Florida State at Florida (SEC on CBS)
4:30 – TBA at Dallas (NFL)

12:30 – TBA at Detroit (NFL)
4:30 – UCLA at USC (CFB on Fox)

12:00 or 3:30 – Wisconsin at Minnesota (ESPN College Football)

      8:30 – TBA (NFL)

7:00 – Mississippi at Mississippi State (ESPN College Football)

8:00 – Purdue VS. Indiana at Indianapolis (ESPN College Football)

7:30 – Texas A&M at LSU (ESPN College Football)

      ABC or CBSSN:
3:30 or 7:00 – South Florida at UCF (ESPN College Football or College Football on CBS) – depends on if it affects conference title race

7:00 – Texas Tech at Texas (CFB on Fox)
10:30 – Arizona at Arizona State or Colorado at Utah (CFB on Fox)

      10:30 – MWC game TBD

      CBSSN or ESPN:
7:00 or 10:30 – MWC game TBD (College Football on CBS or ESPN College Football)

So I want a lot more college football played on the actual holiday

ABC can alternate 2-year periods airing Minnesota-Wisconsin and Illinois-Northwestern on Thanksgiving.

CBS would alternate airing FSU at Florida, Clemson at SC, or Louisville at Kentucky every odd year in the early time slot – the even years would always be Georgia Tech at Georgia in the late afternoon time slot

Fox can alternate between an early slot Big 12 game in even years and a late afternoon slot Pac-12 game in odd years

So yeah CBS and Fox would have doubleheaders consisting of a college game and an NFL game

I miss the comments out by the side so to see if any have been added, now you have to click on the article then click the comments. Not complaining, just made it easier to see if you wanted to go back to the article.

You guys are awesome. You saw a hole in the internet and filled it. Thank you for such an awesome website!

Dont care for it. It looks like a cruddy mobile site. The old version was much cleaner. There is too much empty space now.

        August 28, 2016 at 6:11 pm

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but saying the old mobile site was “much cleaner?” That’s not true. It was the desktop schedule crammed into the screen with the images dropped.

        August 28, 2016 at 10:49 pm

No, I’m saying the desktop version now looks like a crappy mobile site. Look at all of the wasted negative space that now fills the page. You can’t even go to a college teams futures schedules and get the entire thing on one page w/o scrolling down to see the rest. It’s awful for people using computers.

Try to widen your browser window. If that doesn’t work, you may have your screen resolution too low.

        August 30, 2016 at 4:17 am

My browser window size and screen resolution are fine. Changing them does nothing to fix the issues I have noted. I have even checked on different computers at work. The desktop site still looks like a poorly done mobile site and the main culprit is all of the wasted negative space. The only thing that kinda sorta helps is zooming out via view on the browser. I am using Firefox. What browser are you currently using? Perhaps this site looks better on something else?

to kind of show what I am talking about, look at the old format w/this schedule and compare that to what it looks like now

on the positive end, I will say the drop down tabs seem much less finicky and do a better job of letting you scroll the cursor of them as you decide what to click.

        August 30, 2016 at 12:07 pm

Those pics are almost identical. I see what you mean though, I’ll look into tightening up the white space.

        August 31, 2016 at 4:57 am

Thanks much. I know it’s a little thing but I really think it will make a huge difference. After trying the mobile version, it is much easier to select teams so that’s a pretty solid upgrade.

Personally, I liked the old font better. Now everything is so huge. Also, I liked when you could click on a year link right above the non-conference schedule. Now you need to scroll up to click on the schedule for a given year.

Any chance on adding a thumb up/down button?

What happened to the weekend TV schedule, that listed all college games on one form. I would print that off and have it so I could easily see when and what channel games were on — it was an awesome feature. Maybe it is still there but I can’t find it! Thanks.

I’m going to miss Monday night football. I won’t be watching it as long as players are taking a knee during the national anthem.

Any plAyer on any team that disrespect our flag and country should go to the country they do respect
They should fired right away cause they are not we want our kids to look up too
All you rich players should share your money with those your standing up for
Don’t talk about it use your money and fix it

It’s damn flag people. The Romans worshiped Greeks gods which were only statues. The flag can’t do anything tangible for you. You need to calm down, the flag is not god it’s a symbol of the good and the bad of this country. No one has to leave this country because they don’t think like you. Standing up for the flag is a form of idolatry which the bible speaks against. What really matters and what you will ultimately be judged for is how you lived your life and treated others.

I love the Lions quarter back. Mat Stafford is great, but does not get enough credit or attention. Give this team some praise instead of always being so negative in the news and they just might surprised you. Be strong guys, do good this. Go number NINE!

    6. Army Vet
      September 11, 2016 at 9:52 pm

I’m a combat vet and personally fought for the right for people to burn the flag, sit down during the national anthem, protest peacefully, marry whoever they want and to be able to live according to their beliefs (just as long as they aren’t hurting anyone in the process). I don’t think there’s there’s anything more American than freedom of expression.

      • vs119
        September 12, 2016 at 5:40 pm

Boom, exactly. If you’re not free to protest what you feel is wrong you are not free.

        September 12, 2016 at 6:21 pm

First, thank you Army Vet! Second, I respectfully disagree, there us a time and place for all things. I feel there protests should be off the field and not on NFL time. Remember Jim McMahon’s protest?

Let’s go Los Angeles Rams, we need this divisional win tonight against the 49ers.

      October 10, 2016 at 8:21 pm

Look at me ,I’m a selfish ass looking for attention and ding it by using any means possible, never would be thankful what others have done to make this county free but I selfishly think I’m the greatest person and want attention .try doing it by contributing to your cause respectfully and not using your freedom earned by others .
