The Ohio State Buckeyes have added the Colorado Buffaloes to their 2011 football schedule. The game has been officially announced by Ohio State University.
The Buckeyes will host the Buffaloes at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on September 24, 2011. Ohio State will pay Colorado $1.4 million for the game. This is a single game matchup and will not be a home-and-home series. Read Full Story »
The UAB Blazers have updated their future football schedules with an extension of a home-and-home series against Troy and a road game at South Carolina.

The 2010 preseason AP Top 25 College Football Poll has been released. The 2009 National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide top the rankings. They received 54 first place votes and 1,491 total points.

The Virginia Cavaliers have posted their future non-conference football schedule through the 2015 season. They still need one game in 2012 and two in 2015.

The Maryland Terrapins and the Texas Longhorns will play at Austin in 2017 and at FedEx Field in Landover, MD in 2018, Statesman.com has reported.

The BYU Cougars and Texas Longhorns have agreed to a home-and-home football series, the schools have announced. The series will kickoff in 2013 with a game in Provo, followed by the finale in 2014 with a game in Austin.
With the addition of this series the Cougars and Longhorns are scheduled to meet three times over the next five years, with the first meeting coming on September 10, 2011 at Texas. Read Full Story »
After news came that BYU was planning to become an independent in football and join the WAC for all other sports, the Mountain West made a move by inviting WAC members Fresno State and Nevada to join in 2011.
Fresno State will have to pay a $5 million buyout to the WAC for leaving, under the terms reached after Boise State planned to leave. Read Full Story »
The BYU Cougars may leave the Mountain West conference to become an independent in football, various sources have reported. BYU would join the WAC in all other sports.

The Buffalo Bulls will travel to face the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville in 2011, Buffalo has announced. The Bulls will travel to face the Volunteers at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on October 1, 2011.
Earlier today, news broke that Tennessee was backing out of a 2011-12 home-and-home football series with North Carolina. As a result, the Volunteers have scheduled Buffalo for 2011. This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. Read Full Story »
