Due to Tropical Storm Isaac, South Alabama has moved their season-opener against UTSA to Saturday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. CT. The game was initially slated for Thursday night.
“After long consideration of numerous factors impacting the game, the logical decision is to move the game to Saturday,” Erdmann said. “We encourage our fans to come out, enjoy a great football game and support the Jaguars.”

The Virginia Cavaliers and the UTSA Roadrunners have canceled their future home-and-home football series, MySanAntonio.com has confirmed.
The cancellation was mutual, as conference realignment has affected the future schedules of both schools. Virginia will begin playing a 9-game ACC schedule in 2013 and they had one too many non-conference games scheduled for both 2013 and 2014.

The UTSA Roadrunners are set to join Conference USA, likely in 2013, RowdyReport.com has reported.
UTSA just completed their inaugural football season as an FCS Independent. In 2012, they are stepping up to the Football Bowl Subdivision and will compete in the WAC.

The 2012 UTSA at South Alabama football game has been moved to Thursday, August 30, USA announced today. The game, which was originally planned for Saturday, Sept. 1., will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, AL.
Not only will this be the first game of the season for both schools, it will also be their first game at the FBS level. South Alabama beat the Roadrunners 30-27 in double-overtime last season in the first game of their home-and-home series.

The UTSA Roadrunners have completed their 2012 non-conference football schedule, the school announced today.
UTSA opens the 2012 season at South Alabama on Sept. 1. A week later, the Roadrunners host the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions in their home opener at the Alamodome.

The New Mexico Lobos and the UTSA Roadrunners have scheduled a 2013-14 home-and-home football series, UTSA announced today.
New Mexico will host UTSA at University Stadium in Albuquerque on August 31, 2013. On October 4, 2014, the Lobos will travel to face the Roadrunners at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The Rice Owls and the UTSA Roadrunners have scheduled a 2012-13 home-and-home football series, Rice announced today.
Rice will host UTSA at Rice Stadium in Houston on October 13, 2012. The Owls will travel to face the Roadrunners at the Alamodome in San Antonio on October 12, 2013.

The WAC announced yesterday that they will add the Texas State Bobcats and the UTSA Roadrunners for football in 2012. Both schools will join effective July 1, 2012.
Texas State and UTSA are currently members of the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivison (FCS). The Denver Pioneers have also accepted an invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference, but they do not field a football team.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the UTSA Roadrunners have scheduled a two-for-one football series for 2013, 2014 and 2015, TulsaWorld.com has reported.
The three-game series begins on September 7, 2013 when Oklahoma State travels to face UTSA at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Cowboys will host the Roadrunners at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater on September 13, 2014 and again on September 19, 2015.
