Georgia Bulldogs Add Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns To 2010 Football Schedule

The Georgia Bulldogs of the SEC have added the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference to their 2010 football schedule. The game will be played in Athens, Georgia on September 4, 2010, but may be moved if necessary.
This will be the first ever game between Georgia and Louisiana, formerly referred to as Louisiana-Lafayette or ULL.
With the addition of the Ragin’ Cajuns, the Dawgs have one non-conference game slot remaining on their 2010 football schedule. Georgia is already scheduled to play at the Colorado Buffaloes and home against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

We do go by UL, Louisiana, or Ragin Cajuns but certainly do not use ULL or UL-Lafayette. Look on the inside cover of every Media guide and there will be a request by the University to refrain from using Lafayette, ULL, UL-Lafayette, etc.

Kevin, thanks for mentioning the game. It’s actually old news. The newspaper in Lafayette wrote about this game back in November: http://www.theadvertiser.com/article/20081111/SPORTS/811110319/1006

Thanks, didn’t know that. For some reason it slipped through the cracks at Georgia and was just announced.
