Texas Longhorns announce Future Football Games against BYU and UTEP

TexasThe Texas Longhorns have scheduled non-conference home games against the BYU Cougars in 2011 and the UTEP Miners in 2012, the school announced Tuesday.

The Longhorns will host the BYU Cougars in Austin on September 10, 2011. The game completes the Longhorns’ 2011 schedule. Texas also hosts Rice and UCF at home and travels to UCLA.

Texas is 0-2 all-time against the Cougars, having lost both games of a home-and-home series in 1987 and 1988.

On September 8, 2012, Texas will host the UTEP Miners. The Longhorns also play Wyoming at home and travel to face Ole Miss in 2012. Texas still needs one more non-conference game to complete their 2012 schedule.

Texas leads the overall series against UTEP 4-0. In 2009, the Longhorns drilled the Miners 64-7.
