Alabama to play Michigan in 2012, vs. ACC in 2013 & 2014 Chick-fil-A Kickoff

By Kevin Kelley -

Alabama head coach Nick Saban said on his weekly radio show that the Crimson Tide will “probably for sure” play the Michigan Wolverines at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington in 2012.

If you will recall, the Alabama-Michigan contest was first rumored back in August. The game will likely be played on September 1, 2012.

The Crimson Tide and the Wolverines have met three times, all in postseason bowl games. Michigan leads the overall series 2-1.

Saban also mentioned that Alabama will probably play in the 2013 and 2014 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff games at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The Crimson Tide’s opponent in both of those games will likely be ACC teams.

Alabama has played in the Chick-fil-A College Kickoff two times. In 2008, they defeated the Clemson Tigers 34-10. Last season, the Tide beat the Virginia Tech Hokies 34-24.

FSU and Miami would be likely choices. NC played it last year, Clemson and VT both played Bama the two previous years. No other teams would bring the hype that FSU and Miami would. ROLL TIDE!!!
