Texas A&M Aggies announce 2012 Football Schedule

Texas A&M AggiesThe Texas A&M Aggies have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU and Missouri.

The 2012 season will be the first for Texas A&M in the Southeastern Conference. The Aggies, who were accepted into the SEC on Sept. 25, have competed in the Big 12 since its inception in 1996.

Texas A&M opens the 2012 season on Thursday, Aug. 30 against Louisiana Tech in Shreveport. The following week, the Aggies return home to host their first ever SEC contest against the Florida Gators (Sept. 8).

Two more non-conference games follow on Sept. 15 at SMU and Sept. 22 at home against South Carolina State. Their final non-conference match-up is Nov. 17 at home against Sam Houston State.

Texas A&M will host Arkansas at Kyle Field in College Station on Sept. 29. The remainder of their SEC slate includes at Ole Miss (Oct. 6), vs. LSU (Oct. 20), at Auburn (Oct. 27), at Mississippi State (Nov. 3), at Alabama (Nov. 10) and vs. Missouri (Nov. 24).

The 2012 SEC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
